As I write this, I’m watching my 12 year old stuff a turkey under the watchful guidance of friends who have come for lunch. It’s better than TV. How did your Christmas go?

I wanted to take a moment to wish everyone who comes here to read and write and laugh and share and support each other, the happiest, healthiest Christmas available.

I know that Christmas is not always the happy shiny occasion that’s sold to us in the ads and the greeting cards. It can be a really tough time emotionally for lots of people. It can be a time of huge sorrow if there’s someone you were with last Christmas who isn’t with you this year.

It can be a time when old family dynamics play with your head and you find yourself playing strange childhood roles around the dining table.

It can also be a time of great joy and I wanted to take the time and give you the space and opportunity to share or vent how YOUR Christmas was.

Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday……I’ll be posting some more best-ofs over the next week or so and also a few Best/Worst specials around New Year’s Eve so pop back if you have a moment….
