I think the packaging of pads and tampons do need some upgrading. I like the packaging of U tampons by Kotex but this has gone too far. I know that some women, like me, prefer U by Kotex not only because they are very comfortable and small but because the packaging actually relieves some of the cramping. It might sound weird but I know my cramps will get worse if I see or smell Tampax Pearl tampons.

I never understood the uproar over GST on tampons and pads. Toilet paper attracts GST – where’s the outrage over that? And yes, I’m female.

Indeed, ALL tampons ARE a luxury because we bloody pay GST on them!! (Not considered a ‘necessity’ like shaving cream because a Fed Govt advisory panel decided this years ago, despite vigorous protest from the Bajingoed public. Stoopid Vaginaless Canberra Dickwits. Grrrrr.)

The only way a tampon, or pad for that matter, becomes a luxury is if it somehow comes holding a box of tissues, a block of chocolate, a bottle of wine and some painkillers…otherwise it’s just a tampon…seriously if they aren’t wrapped in neon colours so bright your cat thinks they’re a toy or in flowers and geometric shapes that hurt my pounding head they are presented in some fantastic ‘purse-pak’ – my gosh – they are tampons – get a grip – how stupid do they think women are? oh wait, they think we are very stupid…we pay hundreds of dollars for shoes…but i need them!!
