It would be a seriously naive woman who would honestly believe that their husband should or could resemble any character in the story, because it is just that....a story. They are made-up characters, with impossibly perfect characteristics. Thank-you Stephanie Meyer, for giving busy housewives a place to escape to and dream!!

Having been married for 14 years,I absolutely understand the “realities” of married life. This is exactly why I enjoy the fantasy and unattainable perfection of the twilight characters dramatic life.It is an escape for many women,to switch off for a time, from a wife/mother’s hectic duties and indulge in a fictional love story.
It would be a seriously naive woman who would honestly believe that their husband should or could resemble any character in the story, because it is just that….a story. They are made-up characters, with impossibly perfect characteristics.
Thank-you Stephanie Meyer, for giving busy housewives a place to escape to and dream!!

By: missy

Don't women as a whole want this romance but know our lives also rotate around kids, laundry, car pools and work every day! Bella doesn't have to work neither does Edward. The stories are wonderful but life is tough; as women we should at least every 2-3 months find time for your partner; its a two street think something "nice" to do together, no kids even if it just a bubble bath together; the true romance is in couples who spend their whole life together trying to please the other one and realize that this is what makes us as one!!! love notes are great also!!!

Don’t women as a whole want this romance but know our lives also rotate around kids, laundry, car pools and work every day! Things like "Edward Cullen would never do that" used to pop into my head. I then realized that Love like that doesn't exist. It isn't real love. You spend the first year infatuated with your partner, then after that it sort of fizzles down, till you respect each other. That is my idea of love. Now i cook his dinner, clean his house and raise our son, I am nothing more than a housewife and mother, part of me would love an Edward Cullen to come and sweep me of my feet, another part of me thinks that all of that excitement 24/7 would get pretty tedious after a year or so! Thank you x

I loved reading your post, i too found myself swept up into the “true love” of Edward and Bella, I too looked at my husband of two years with distain when he wasn’t romantic, when he farts and burps.
