I just think she is amazingly beautiful, why cut her hair or change anything when she’s been looking so good for so long! The photo in the crochet dress is my fav, she looks GORGEOUS, I don’t see how anyone can disagree, But thanks Rachel s for the insight, it does make me feel a tiny bit better that realistically being that tall and skinny isn’t that great, but we can always dream can’t we…… Oh and her outfits- love every one of them! I’m a fan!!!!!
she is definately on the thin side and must work at it constantly, I recall her sister making a comment about her working so hard at her body in an interview once. I do like her and think she is wonderfully successful, it must be very very hard to maintain that image with all the pressure that comes with it, so for that well done Elle.
those pictures on the steps are taken on the school steps. Claudia also often appears in pics on those steps as her sons got to the same school – can you imagine being another mother on the school run and having to put up with those legs?!
Don’t like the white dress on the red carpet – too low in the boobs. It cuts her top half off and gives her a weird look. It’s like she has hitched up a high waisted skirt over her nipples.
I saw her about 10 years ago and had the chance to check her out quite well. I too thought she looked better in photos than in person. Her skin is rather weathered and loads of freckles,( no offence to freckles of course- a close friend of mine).
She is unnaturally tall and thin and after my encounter, I wished that everyone could have the oppportunity to get up close to a supermodel. To me, she was as freaky a woman as pro-basketball players are to men. It made me realise that there is NO WAY the majority of women can look anything like that. I’m thankful for the brief encounter because I think it has greatly reduced anxiety about my body image. Get it??
Ruby, I think its cause Rupert and Kerry’s careers weren’t built on their looks and image whereas Elle wants us to believe things about her that are patently lies regarding her health and beauty. I agree she is smart, but also vapid and a little annoying. Good luck to her and it’s great she had done well, but I don’t think she should act so aloof when she invites us in to her private business due to the ways she markets herself as a brand. I would not have been a fan of Kerry’s Smalls either if he had gone in that direction…
I think Elle looks stunning in these pics. I particularly like the one of her in runners, leggings and a t-shirt with a puffer vest on. I wish I could look so glamorous in my exercise gear.
Not so sure about the shot on the Vanity Fair red carpet. Looks like there may be baps flying everywhere any second. How on earth can you relax with that much boobage on display? I’d be tugging and fiddling all night long.
No-one ever cared about how ‘high maintenance’ or ‘nice’ Kerry Packer or Rupert Murdoch were. Men like this are seen as being tough, hardline corporate operators and respected for it.
I admire her for her achievments as a business woman and for rising above the ‘bimbo’ tag.
Granted, she has a great body, great clothes and a good business career etc, but hey, she’s such high maintenance. She can’t stand not being in control of “her image” and anything that’s written about her. She stage manages her little visits to the beach where she takes “surfing” lessons etc.
…and that phony accent she piles on while trying to sound like an intellectual.
Nup, not a fan.
Oh, I checked out the pics Janine. I reckon the leg one has been doctored. What do you think?
She looks absolutley fantastic..but lets give credit where credit is due. Her plastic surgeon.
I dont have much respect for her because she denies having any plastic surgery and wants us to believe its all down to “an organic diet, lots of exercise and water”. Bullshit.
She is as bad as miss sunscreen.
I dont like the picture of her in the cream jumper and black thongs..she has an upside down triangle body shape and the jumper just puts emphasis on her broad shoulders.
The thing is, if she had let herself go ala natural..she might have still looked pretty darn good! Why are wrinkles and aging so scarey to these women?
The RUDEST woman I have ever met. I used to work at the company that produced her Bendon catalogues. The photos were entirely airbrushed including removing the signs of plastic surgery. I have no time for her
I think she’s stunning. 46 years old- damn! And she must have more brains than she’s given credit for to turn the modelling into a million dollar business empire.
Maryann, I saw her in the flesh too, and had the exact same feeling!
In photos, and on screen, though, she is luminous! She is so very, very beautiful. I have no idea what her upkeep regime is, but she’s either got the most amazing genetic code ever, or else she’s been super smart in her choices.
My reaction to her extreme beauty causes cognitive dissonance whenever she speaks, though. When that lady opens her mouth, I just want to smack her.
She’s so disingenuous, talks in cliches, and has the hugest chip on her shoulder about proving her intellectual credentials.
It’s not good enough for her that she parlayed her physical gifts into a business empire. She feels the need to misquote philosophers and mangle tired “spiritualisms.”
Her turn on Australia’s Next Top Model was a distillation of everything I despise about her persona.
I have seen Elle in the flesh a couple of times and to be honest she looks better in photos. She is sooo thin she looks like she could break. One occasion was at Sydney airport she was flying out. I saw her pile of luggage before I saw her. She had at least 30 olive green duffle bags!
It’s all fine but I don’t find it particularly exciting. She seems very high maintenance and I feel like giving her a hamburger because with that body I’m thinking she lives on salad leaves and air.
Plus I have a pretty big dislike of her after reading how awful she can be to journalists.
PS. I love the shot where she’s wearing thongs with a jumper. Is that an australian thing do you think? I totally did that this winter – I only gave up wearing thongs when i was on the threshold of getting frostbite!
Mia – her sunglasses with white turtle neck top are bigger than yours!

She looks amazing for her age …. I especially like the shot of her with the flower in her hair .. her body looks soooo good!
I stopped looking after I saw the photo of her in the tan knit minidress with no bra. Stupefying breast envy.
those pictures on the steps are taken on the school steps. Claudia also often appears in pics on those steps as her sons got to the same school – can you imagine being another mother on the school run and having to put up with those legs?!
She cant cut her hair! Thats one of her best features!
I knocked her back once, at a party. Just dreaming…..She’d look VERY good, on my arm,or my couch, come to that…..
Don’t like the white dress on the red carpet – too low in the boobs. It cuts her top half off and gives her a weird look. It’s like she has hitched up a high waisted skirt over her nipples.
I just wish she would cut her hair.
Oh the legs…

How topical. Did anyone else see these photos today?

She’s gorgeous, but trying to do the beach babe thing in a London winter just looks ridiculous – put on some proper shoes, woman!
Love the knee high red boots…

I agree Ruby, she is beautiful and has brains.
It’s a tough industry and she has conquered it!
Can anyone suggest a interview or book that I can read to learn more about her?
Good point Opnlwa, you’re probably right. Oh well, one less thing we have in common i guess.
I think she’s stunning. 46 years old- damn! And she must have more brains than she’s given credit for to turn the modelling into a million dollar business empire.
I actually haven’t seen her interviewed much and feel I don’t know enough to comment on her persona. She seems guarded, which isn’t good or bad thing.
Mia – I think she would be a good candidate for MamamiaTV?
Looks wise I think she is such a typical Aussie. But I hope she uses SPF!
But I do think though she has the same fear as Jennifer Aniston – fear of hairdresser sissors!
Maryann, I saw her in the flesh too, and had the exact same feeling!

But my God, she looked magnificent!
I think Elle may have borrowed that little gold number from Mariah Carey……..
I like her much better when she’s glam Elle dressing her age rather than the hippie bohemian look she’s been doing lately. Bit old for that love.
I have seen Elle in the flesh a couple of times and to be honest she looks better in photos. She is sooo thin she looks like she could break. One occasion was at Sydney airport she was flying out. I saw her pile of luggage before I saw her. She had at least 30 olive green duffle bags!
Never been a fan of Elle – it bugs the hell out of me that she walks on the red carpet with bits of string and wool tied around her wrist.
I can’t look past it !
Bloody Elle, she looks incredible!
I know she works hard for that bod – but those long lanky genes sure help… fab hair too.
Always tastefully dressed.
The big sunnies like hers look WAAAAAAY better on you Mia
It’s all fine but I don’t find it particularly exciting. She seems very high maintenance and I feel like giving her a hamburger because with that body I’m thinking she lives on salad leaves and air.

I think she had just had a pedicure when she was wearing the thongs… she has that “keep your toes apart” look!
She looks so fab… jealous!
That girl never looks bad
PS. I love the shot where she’s wearing thongs with a jumper. Is that an australian thing do you think? I totally did that this winter – I only gave up wearing thongs when i was on the threshold of getting frostbite!
Sigh… Jealous
wow.wow.wow. i would wear every one of those outfits. … if only i could look so good in them! (and this from a 25yr old speaking of a 46yr old!)
