Vanilla Ice is sorry. I’m not sorry. I loved that song, dammit.

Vanilla Ice has apologised for his music in a new ad for Virgin mobile. Brilliant. After the jump, a special treat….

I love the original song where that base line comes from – ie. “Under Pressure” by Queen with David Bowie doing a duet with Freddie Mercury. My God! Those two sound AMAZING together. Ah…I miss the 80’s…even though I was born in ‘84…

We have Stop, Hammer Time signs around town as well. I’ve never seen a collaborate and listen one though. I’d always assumed it wouldn’t fit. I guess our graffitti artists just don’t appreciate good crap when they hear it.

Various Stop signs around my neighbourhood have been decorated with either “Collaborate and Listen” or “Hammer Time”.
No one under 28 seems to know what they mean..
I giggle every time I pass them!

I’ve got the clip playing and my 10-month old daughter just walked in (yes, she’s walking) and started doing her version of dancing to this song!
It’s awesome. I’m not a huge fan of rap – images of “bad-ass” dudes pop to mind…..but this song is catchy. It was also used in the advertising for kids movie, Ice Age, so it can’t be that bad. Can it?

I love this – but where will it stop?
    Other good candidates:
Whitney Houston for “I will always love you”
    Billy Bob Thornton for “Angelina”
Whoever wrote the Crazy Frog song
Boy George for his entire back catalogue
Celine Dion for “My love goes on”
    I could go on.

    heehee Betty Boo’s Mummy.
Quite often when one of us yells “Stop” at the kids, the other will say “Collaborate and listen”.
