Happy Holidays To You And Yours
Do you like this story?

Christmas may be magic for the kiddies but it can be stressful for the rest of us. I'm particularly thinking about those who have lost someone close to them this year…..it can be such a bittersweet time.
Anyway, posting is going to be light for the next week or so while I spend some time with the family but I want to thank you all so much for making this year on mamamia so wonderfully entertaining for me.
Thanks for having me in your computer. It's been a slice of heaven and NOW THAT I AM FINISHED MY BOOK I am psyched for so many new things for this blog next year.
Be safe, wear a seatbelt and a condom and try not to crawl drunk in the gutter unless you absolutely must, in which case, try not to let anyone film you.
Mia xxxx

Well done you on the book!
I hope everyone had a great time. I am sick of ham and turkey!!
I now have to go and return all of the things that don’t work and 2 bikes that are too big for my little littlies.

Gig, I am happy to say I have not exploded. Yet. New friends have just arrived which means another massive lunch today (3rd one in a row) so there is still exploding time. But I think I’m safe woo hoo!
And damn you JLo going to the beach… I want to go to the beach, or maybe the snow, but of course its cold here, but It doesn’t snow. It just rains… hmmph.
Take advantage of the beach everyone… for me!

Merry Christmas everyone!
I have missed you all over the last couple of weeks (been a busy bee). I hope you all had a wonderful day yest and thanks for a great year of laughs, sharing of ideas, debate, support, wisdom and fun!
Looking forward to more of it in 2009.
Mia, I have said it numerous times, but thanks for a great ‘space’ and I hope you enjoy the time with your family and friends after a massive year. Take care.
I’m going to the beach to chill out for a few days tomorrow and we have agreed to ‘unplug’ (no internet or mobiles) so see you all in the New Year!!!

In the lead up to and stress of preparing Christmas lunch in our home for 30 people I am late too! Merry Christmas to all, good health for 2009.

I am a day late (blame it on the 3-month-old daughter, or perhaps the endless tantrums of the 2-year-old son) but MERRY CHRISTMAS to you, Mia, and all the commenters who make this one of my favourite websites of all time.
More screams from the one who is protesting naptime….must dash!

Hi all,
I was going south to family this week, but due to work, re-scheduled till after New Year. However, after a wonderfully stuffingly gorgeous lunch with the next-doors, to which a few of us singles contributed to, I’m back home, it was a dangerous 100 yards, but I did no gutter-crawling.
I swore I wouldn’t look at mamamia for a week, but, what with prawns, and wine, and smoked salmon, and wine, and silly chat, and more wine, I couldn’t resist…
Judy, so sad to hear about your horse, you’ve mentioned this previously. I am such an animal person, cats, dogs, I’m a total sop for pets…
And Buon Natale!!! to Sarah, who said she won’t be back next year, because, she’d explode!
Thanks guys for a lovely year.
Youse are all great!!

Lucky you Cath! They have restricted Dooce and MamaMia on our work computers so unless I figure out how to use the net on my mobile phone I have to wait til I get home to get my ‘fix’!

A very happy and safe Christmas season to Mia and family – thank you so much for such a fabulous site, and such wonderful and thought-provoking entertainment over the months since I discovered you. And the same to all the regular contributors, whose comments are so entertaining and informative! (My favourites are Cath, TheRealSydney and gigdiary)
This Christmas is sad for us, because although only animal lovers may fully understand, we had to have one of our beloved horses put to sleep last week. Not “just horses” but substitute children to us. Many tears, but we do know we gave her a wonderful, loving life while she was with us.
All the best to you all, and look forward to getting together with you all again in the new year!
Love, Judy xxx

I’ve had some Christmas cheer tonight, and I haven’t even started wrapping yet… so it could be a long night! I’ve said it before, but I’m going sto say it again… Merry Christmas, Mia, and all the full-time, part-time, permanent and casual commenters who make this such a nice place to be when I’m at work every day… Did I say work? Of course I meant HOME, I would never read this, or any other blog (like for example, Dooce), let alone comment, while I was at work! And I’m quite sure that goes for all of us. Nope, never. Never, never, never… But if I did, I daresay it would make my day more often than not. Looking forward to sharing cyber-space with you all in the new year, much love, Cath xx

Buon Natale!!!
Everyone have a great day! Try not to eat to much. It is possible I will not be back next year as I have been informed that my host family eat around 7 courses for christmas dinner. I may just explode…
Oh well, maybe I will just come back a bit fatter… or alot fatter…
Merry christmas, happy new year, stay safe etc etc
Sarah xoxo
