Yes, it’s a boy……

…..and his name is Maddox-Pax-Knox.
You like?

3kg, five hour labour (give or take), great birth, magnificent epidural and generally Over The Moon. Home now and trying to remember how to put on those teeny tiny socks. He’s very much a third child – somehow I pretty much forgot to buy anything small enough to fit him and much of the other paraphanalia you accumulate before your first baby……but he is absolutely delicious and I am besotted. We all are.

His name is actually Remy. Luca came up with the name months ago and it was on a shortlist of two or three. When we saw him, it was obvious.

Coco was not happy for several days and refused to say his name because she wanted us to name him Nutella. We told her when she grows up to be as big as Mummy and has her own baby, she can call him Nutella (heck, I’m sure someone somewhere already has….). The good news is that she’s already got a baby in her tummy and it’s going to be born "in half an hour".

As I mentioned last week (seems like a lifetime ago….I’ve almost forgotten how to type) I have locked and loaded a bunch of posts to keep you entertained while I remember how to get by on very little sleep and make milk.
Mia xxx

I am so happy for you Mia!!
Aren’t little children gorgeous when their little baby brother comes home from the hospital? My daughter was 2 and a half and she copied everything I did with her little Baby Born doll. The ultimate was when she walked in with her top up and the doll at her breast. Soooo cute.
Mia, please relax and don’t fret with your blog. We are not going anywhere and will remain patient and loyal. Take time off to prioritise yourself and your babies. We will still be here when you get back.
Take wonderful care of yourself, and don’t forget – the housework can wait.

HI Mia, I’m not happy with my ‘congratulations’ message being on the Frockwatch page that has a picture of Hugh Hefner and his barbies, so just wanted to express again, my excitement and best wishes on the arrival of little Remy. LOOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEE the name, you have all outdone yourselves with that one (esp you Luca- great pick)
Mia, I think you have broken all mamamia records re: number of comments posted by people with this one! It must be nice to know there are so many people out there you love your work and are wishing you and your family well. Take care and fingers crossed for some sleep.

So as i find something to occupy me until you return to the keyboard, i wish you love and the time to enjoy these first precious moments. Xx

Oh, Mia…! I can’t BELIEVE I have been obsessively logging on here 20 trillion times a day for the past 3 weeks like some freak of a person, and then the past two days have been laden down with my own sick children (ALL THREE aarrgghh!) and missed such a momentous post today! Especially when yesterday I gained not only a new niece but ALSO a new 2nd cousin, both girls, and it did cross my mind at midday “Wow I wonder if Mia will make the trifecta and also have hers soon and have a girl as I am guessing!”. How wrong was I?!
From my family to yours, much love and happiness and I love, love, LOVE the name! Absolutely perfect (LOL in my sleep-deprived state I did see the opening line and thought “what, the…?!”)
Can’t wait to see piccies ;o) Welcome to the World of Three Children :o ) xxxxxxxxxx

Need I say congratualtions? I thought of you and all mamamia commentators yesterday… a friend of a friend (I know but still…) was telling her about his first class flying experiences and said the most ’star struck’ was when he was the only person in the 1st class lounge other than this lady and her boy. When this little kid kept coming up to him to say hi his mother kept apologising. It just happened to be ANGELINA and MADDOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND….They were lovely! Let’s all sigh, *sigh* and love them even more.
enjoy Remy and maybe some Nutella on toast.

Congratulations on your beautiful baby boy! I have to say, even though it’s a hard time, I’m kind of jealous. There’s something special about living in that milky, sleep deprived haze for a while. And you cannot beat the scent of a baby. Yep, really jealous now! I’ve been away for a while, and the thought of you not getting your epidural crossed my mind more than once, so I’m glad that worked out for you! Great name, too. Enjoy! xxxxx

Great news Mia! What date was he born? Does he have a middle name?
    Name: Rémy
    Gender: Boy
    Origin: French – Meaning: Oarsman
From Rheims, France ; (English) familiar form of Remington
    Pronunciation:(RAY mee)
    Form of: Remigius
I dunno if Mia is using the accent though.
Lisa McCune’s daughter is called Remy. I guess it is a bit of a feminine name, but can work for a boy too.
