Run, don't walk: Urban Decay are releasing a new Naked palette.

There are few products that can incite as much dedication, passion and debate among beauty lovers as the Urban Decay Naked Palettes.

The buttery texture, pigmented colour and sleek packaging have made all three of the currently available palettes cult products, leaving many brokenhearted as they regularly sell out.

Urban Decay have announced a new kid on the block, and people are already going crazy for it. Case in point? There is already a wait list.

Cue the excited reactions and rather hilarious memes.

Due for release in the US on July 8, the Urban Decay Smokey Palette is, you guessed it, a smokey edition of the beloved nude-coloured palettes. And yes, we want it. Badly.

The good news? Being in Australia doesn't mean we miss out.

Mecca Cosmetica has confirmed the palette will be available in Australia (albeit with a little delay), hitting Mecca Maxima stores on September 29.

The price has also been confirmed, and will retail at $78, consistent with the existing palettes. (Post continues after gallery.)

While the first Naked palette focussed on bronze shades, Naked 2 on taupes and Naked 3 rose-gold tinted colours, the Naked Smokey palette will incorporate these AND silver, charcoal, black, eggplant and brown. Of the 12 colours, nine are completely new shades.

One criticism with the palettes has been with the packaging, and although it has steadily improved with each new release, the Naked Smokey could be the best one yet. (Post continues after gallery.)

As xSparkage reports, the plastic packaging has a magnetic closure making it more secure than past ones, and a smooth top, which means you can open it as slim or wide as you require. There's also a mirror that is the entire size of the case.

The palette also comes complete with a double-ended brush (A slimmer one for applying and one for blending) and four cards that show you how to get professional-looking smokey eyes.

From swatches available, we know there are four shades with shimmery/glittery finishes, four satin shades and four buttery mattes, with a great mix of base and bold colours.

It looks to be a great all-round and versatile palette and a worthy addition to the Naked family - We can't wait. Hurry up September please.
