Woman arrested after toddler found dead in Melbourne home.

A woman is in custody after a 13-month-old girl was stabbed to death inside a Melbourne home.

The toddler was found by emergency services in the property on Fordham Rd in Reservoir about 11am on Monday after a family member raised the alarm.

She had what police believe are stab wounds.

“Three other children were home at the time of the incident but were not harmed,” a police statement said.

A 28-year-old woman known to the child was taken into custody at the scene.

Police say they are not looking for any other person in relation to the matter.
