dating

You can now add a song to your Tinder profile - and we have a few suggestions.

If you occasionally spend your nights fossicking through the scrap heap of humanity that is Tinder hoping to stumble on the golden glimmer of a potential romance (or sex, sex is good too), you may be interested to know it’s now possible to soundtrack your swiping.

The popular dating app has joined forced with digital music service Spotify, allowing you to link your two accounts and giving you another tidbit of information to consider before your next inevitable left swipe.

Basically, prospective partners can now judge one another’s music taste by previewing each other’s most listened to tracks and seeing which favourite artists they share.

This means you can spot those musical red flags a mile off and won’t accidentally wind up sharing your bed with a Nickelback fan. Thanks, Tinder.

Also — and this is the BIG news — you’ll be able to add an ‘anthem’ to your profile, not unlike you could on MySpace. Only ~sexier~, obviously.

The question is: What signals do you want to send?

We’ve put together a quick list of ten song recommendations we think send a pretty clear message.

1. TLC – No Scrubs

This one speaks for itself.

2. Celine Dion – All By Myself

I’ll take what I can get.

3. Bloodhound Gang – The Bad Touch

Let’s do it like they do on the Discovery Channel.

4. Rihanna – Rude Boy

Have you go what it takes?

5. Vengaboys – Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom

Seriously though, I’m DTF.

6. Sixpence None The Richer – Kiss Me

I’m looking for Dawson’s Creek-level romance.

7. Jennifer Paige – Crush

Like, I just want to fall in love with a cutie.

8. The Lonely Island ft. Justin Timberlake – Dick in a Box

You’re about to get an unsolicited d*ck pic.

9. Divinyls – I Touch Myself

Talk dirty to me.

10. Jagged Edge – Let’s Get Married

I’m looking for something serious.

Whaddaya reckon? Any other ideas?
