Sunrise host Monique Wright was surprised but thrilled to discover she is pregnant with her third child.
At 41 years old, Monique Wright thought she was finished with having children. Already a mother to Pascale, two, and Etienne, five, the popular TV host assumed her days of procreation were over.
Perhaps she was breathing a sigh of relief imagining that, as her kids get older, she’ll spend more time in a role that’s positively relaxing in comparison to looking after a newborn: presenter of Weekend Sunrise and The Daily Edition.
Then came the surprising news that she’s four months pregnant with her third child.
“It was the last thing that we expected,” Wright told Confidential. “It was completely unplanned but we are absolutely thrilled.”
As a woman who didn’t start her family until her late thirties, Wright says her news should give hope to other women trying to conceive later in life.
“I do hope that this serves as a bit of hope that it can happen.
“It can happen by chance. It is not all doom and gloom. Even though, yes, we understand the statistics, they’re not everything. If anyone is trying, maybe they can take some hope from this.”

At the beginning of her Daily Edition show (approximately a year and a half ago) a clairvoyant predicted she would have a third. Monique just looked at her as if to say yeah right I'm done. The clairvoyant also predicted her co-star Tom will be expecting a baby soon. Tom was due to tell his co-stars that week that his wife was pregnant!
Which clairvoyant?
