If you like to shop then you are going to love this gallery.
I am a super-human shopper – just ask my savings (or not so much savings) account. In fact, I can spot a bargain from across the shopping centre and a good online sale makes me sweat like a goldfish playing Letters and Numbers.
Rather than curb my enthusiasm – I’ve decided to embrace shopping as a marketable skill and share the love through a weekly curated post of the best ‘buys’. Here’s what I am loving this week:

Decjuba 'Jo Jersey Jacket' $139.95. Enquiries: 03 9411 0200
In this post you will always find really, truly great stuff, from clothing through to kids’ toys, home-wares, gifts… Even sex toys. Something for everyone.
The launch of our Mamamia Shopping site is just around the corner. So watch this space for more shopping inspiration.
What is your best shopping find this season?

Have a look at the stuff from http://www.somersaultstyle.com mentioned in this post, both accessory items are under $10
All things on the website are Under $30 x

I am normally not a commenter but I will in this case… People lighten up! Have you ever thought these are trends and you can buy cheaper items from elsewhere?
Great post Jasmine, I loved all the picks! Some serious inspiration for summer shopping

What a bunch of moan-ers you all are! ‘there’s no link’ ‘can you confirm you actually own these clothes’ ‘$130 for a bikini is not a bargain’ ‘I don’t find any of these finds to my taste’ etc etc. GET A LIFE!!! And some positivity! This is shopping and meant to be fun. Argh!

Although the pieces are not to my taste, I agree, Jasmine writes “Here’s what I am loving this week” NOT ‘Here’s what everyone who visits this post will love”.

160 for the bikini…and with the money I save paying 50 for that and all the other things listed here I get so much cheaper I ” get a life”on the yearly family holiday

I really like this post! It’s been a little while since I’ve found something on Mamamia I could relate to. It seems this is the first post so I assume it will only improve with time?
I don’t understand the problem.. there were items for $9? And some people, myself included, DO have $160 to spend on a bikini or $300 on shoes and would like to see options for our price range too.
If this post is about ’20 items to add to cart’ I want to see interesting, beautiful items (such as the above), that I feel like I NEED TO HAVE immediately.. NOT cheap crap!

well you could always buy a copy of vogue, harper’s, shop til you drop or just about every other magazine out there. yours is the position that the vast majority of advertisers cater for. even if i did have the money, i’d rather shop smart and save my pennies for something worthwhile. there are some things worth shelling out for, like an amazing handbag… but a lot of that stuff, nuh-uh.

No wonder your broke! $160 for a bikini …..

$80 for a scarf? that’s hardly what i’d call a bargain…

Look, I’m usually excited for a good bargain too. But with regards to swimwear it is VERY difficult as a big busted person to find bikinis/swimsuits that fit, let alone look any good.
There is literally no inexpensive option – brands like Sirens and Jets that cater for specific body types do not come cheap. But, the quality is excellent.
If I could fit into a better priced surf brand then I would certainly buy them. Alas, I shall go wanting.

My best purchase of late was a completely custom made, vintage fabric skirt from a tiny webstore called Georgie Love (http://www.georgielove.com I think?) I get SO many comments from it, it’s ridiculous and it’s UNIQUE.

If you are going to write ‘add to cart’ in your headline I think you should provide internet links to the products. A number to call ‘for enquiries’ is silly. Are they even in stock? Available in my state?

Thanks for your feedback Emma – I’ll pass it on to the rest of the team for the next post!

Who has $80 to spend on a scarf????
loading...
yes that is exactly what i thought too!

I do! Lighten up guys there are things here for everyone on every budget. It’s all fun. The heading isn’t cheap buys so chill out!!!

That Eles foundation looks exactly like a foundation by Issada, a brand I used to work with. The Issada foundation was also called Liquid Powder and it also cost $66. Issada were known for buying cheap crappy products from o/s and rebadging them, and it looks like Eles has done the same here!

I know for a fact that any brand can buy that particular mineral make-up and label it their own. Revlon had this same product for about $25 at one stage – same colour palette and all…

Issada was launched well before all the others copied them. I love Issada makeup and the service is unreal. They have heaps of new products now that no one else has. They are a great Aussie company. We should all support them.

These are lovely but stil a bit expensive. If you are looking for bargains, ie. under $50 check out my blog http://www.lessthanapineapple.com

Thanks Zed30. I’m really glad you liked it.

Fabulous blog. The mini milk bottles for jasmine flowers totally sold me on it – it’s one of my favorite smells ever too. Thanks for sharing.

I’d really like to read more about Jasmine Garnsworthy’s experience as a Miss World contestant/model in general – particularly in light of recent articles on MM about photoshopping/modelling as a career choice etc.
Jasmine’s style articles have always been smart and punchy; she comes across as intelligent and capable. It would be interesting to hear about her decision to be part of that culture that values women solely on their physical attributes and how she reconciles that now with the work she does on MM.

Hi Gee – Miss World was a great experience and through the comp I raised awareness for a charity (Alzheimer’s Australia) that I’m very heavily involved with. Definitely a learning experience

Hi MM Team,
I have an online store and would love to increase my customer base. Are you able to give more details about MM Shopping and how readers can be involved from the other side of the transaction ie as retailers? Or is MM going to be a quasi- department store themselves?
Thanks

i use vpost for USA but cant seem to find one for NZ??

I think it’s a great idea- I am time poor so would love a push in the right direction to find some online bargains, as well as examples of what is in fashion, etc. Your gallery is just a bunch of pics thou- there is no hyperlink nor reference to cost and how to purchase.

Thanks for your feedback dulcie – look out for the next post
