I think green and gold is soooooooooooo ugly and there are only so many things you can do to try and make it look better.
I just had a thought, why haven’t we added red, yellow and black to acknowledge our Indigenous Australians in our Australian uniforms, this year would have been a great time to do it, given the apology and all?

I was not a fan of this uniform. The first thing that I thought was…..are they the Auusie team or the Greek team? The Greek colours are White and Blue and these colours represent the sky and the sea…and now we do the same? I think maybe they had too good a time in Athens. Also, we need to be uniform. If all our sporting teams wear Green&Gold…so should our olympians. The Americans look HOT! We look like part of the stadium walls…cheap..yuk…bring back the aussie colours….and the jolly swagman hat…lol

i like it its sporty, this is a sports event not a fashion event. i dont think that its stylish at all but it looks like a comfy trakkie suit for athletes. i agree with hush, totally high school power point back ground but also it looks like the see and the sky! im an ex-diver and it reminds me of summer when the sky and the water was exactly the same shade of bright blue. was sad not to see the green and gold but change is nice.

I agree completely with every thing melanie has said. ‘specially about the blue sky in Australia being more vivid and magical than anywhere else in the world- i was just talking about this the other day!

After the monstrosities that were the 2000 opening ceremony unifroms, people are complaing about this? WTF? I might actually consider wearing one of those tracksuits in public…not fond of the silver ballet flats, mind you

I just looked at more photos of different countries marching in – can’t stand what the American’s were wearing to be honest, a few countries had white suits, hmmmm yeah ok, but there were plenty of countries looking pretty casual as well.
