Sophie Monk forgot to put sunscreen on her face and we feel her pain.

We’ve all done it. We’re in the snow. It’s cold. The sun, anything that involves any temperature above freezing, is the least of our worries… right?

Next minute (usually the middle of the night when you’re woken up by your face because it feels like it’s… falling off), you’ve got a blistering red nose, cheeks that look like they’ve got chafing and a forehead the colour of a tomato.

Not to mention a killer sun-glasses/ski-goggles tan.

English Australian radio personality Sophie Monk has fallen victim while skiing at Silver Star Mountain in Canada.

She posted a photograph to Instagram simply captioned: “Might wear sunscreen tomorrow???”

Her face says it all.

First off… Brave.

Getting into a bath of presumably steaming water is a near-heroic feat for a woman with sunburn anywhere on her body. Those first few moments of heat feel as if all your blood is rushing to the area in question. It is a form of “I-will-never-go-outside-in-sunlight-ever-again” torture.

Secondly, we all know the dangers of sunburn and that, particularly in for those who’ve grown up in Australia, it’s no laughing matter.

But, in this case Sophie, we’ve all been there and we feel your pain.
