Oh dear. Sophie Monk just got trolled by 'Bill Shorten'.

Poor Sophie Monk. The normally sharp-witted radio host has tried to interview Opposition Leader Bill Shorten on live radio and it went horribly, horribly wrong.

For a start, it would have helped if she was interviewing the actual Bill Shorten, and not a paid actor who is pretending to be Bill Shorten.

Sophie’s radio co-hosts set her up by arranging a random guy – who, mind you, looked NOTHING LIKE Shorten – to come in and talk all things election politics on their show, KIIS FM’s The Fling.

The conversation quickly turned to gay marriage, with ‘fake Bill’ proposing that ‘bisexual marriage’ would soon be a thing.

Cue Sophie asking how he would ever get that past his party.

"That’s not really my problem. The point is that I’m a paid actor, I don’t really care. And I’m not Bill Shorten," he gleefully told the former model and actress.

Ouch.

Of course, Sophie wasn't too pleased about the prank, yelling, "You are so mean!" around the studio.

"Why would you do this to me? I hate you guys! You had to make me look like an idiot! This is killing me!"

Don't worry, Sophie, we've totally all been there... even if we're too scared to admit it. (Unless you were in on it the whole time, in which case, bravo on a great performance.)

Luckily, the real Bill Shorten was on the phone to save the day. Phew.
