"Dear men, take the photo. Take the god damn photo."

Sophie Cachia, also known as The Young Mummy, has taken to social media to ask the ‘men of Australia’ to do the one thing every woman wants.

Take some photos. Just take some candid snaps of mums with their kids and help them capture some memorable moments.

She wrote on Instagram on Sunday: “Dear Men, take the photo. Take the god damn photo.”

“We spend days capturing beautiful moments of you and the kids. So whenever you see one of us with our babies, a beautiful candid moment, take the bloody god damn photo. Cheers, Mums.”

She finished off the caption with: (@jarydcachia nailed it. He TOOK THE PHOTO. Time with my boy while bub sleeps. Miss lazing around with you everyday.)

And it seems like the mums of Australia agree. The post received over 10,000 likes on Instagram and it was shared over 1500 times on Facebook, with many women commenting that this was one of their biggest regrets.

“I was literally just thinking this. There are almost no photos of me with our kid!” one person commented.

“I have to *ask* my husband to take photos all the time. If I didn’t, I would barely have any photos (other than selfies) and me and my little man. Meanwhile, I have taken thousands of photos of him. Literally,” added another.

“Amen to that. Wish I had candid pics to look back on computer is full of hubby and kids. This is gorgeous x.”

“Totally agree @theyoungmummy My husbands bloody hopeless! I swear my poor daughter is gonna grow up wondering where I was,” said one Instagram user.
