“You can kind of imagine it just coating your insides with whatever colour you’re eating… it’s just like a craving of your favourite candy bar.”

Brittoni from Toledo, Ohio is addicted to eating makeup.

The 22-year-old eats makeup on a daily basis, and has consumed more than 10,000 makeup containers since her addiction began as a child.

She has been secretly hooked on makeup since she was about nine years old when she got hold of her mother’s makeup. Brittoni said that she likes the idea of cosmetics making her beautiful from the inside out.

Brittoni appeared on an episode of “My Strange Addiction,” saying that she enjoys consuming eyeshadows – up to as many as 15 a day – and mostly loves the metallic grey, white and brown colours.

Her boyfriend said: ‘When she eats makeup, she looks like a clown went crazy.

‘I’ve kissed her before and I’ve tasted makeup. It’s horrible.’

She was reportedly attracted to the bright colours in palettes at a young age but has been warned that she could suffer from further health implications due to the dangerous chemicals found in some cosmetics.

During the filming a doctor told her that that arsenic, lead and nickel could contribute to heart problems, cancer, or even kill her. It’s believed that her addiction is the reason she suffered from heart disease at the age of 12.

Understandably, Brittoni has vowed to give up her addiction.
