Wine Bar: 7 things everyone's talking about.

Mime Alford said she had an affair with JFK when she was 19.

1. ‘I was JFK’s teenage mistress’

A 69-year-old grandmother in the US has written a memoir in which she claims she had an 18-month long affair with John F Kennedy during his time as US president in the 1960s. Mimi Alford said she was a 19-year-old virgin when JFK seduced her. She said the affair only ended when the then president died.

2. Sarah Palin on raising a child with Down Syndrome

“When I discovered early in my pregnancy that my baby would be born with an extra chromosome, the diagnosis of Down Syndrome frightened me so much that I dared not discuss my pregnancy for many months,” Sarah Palin wrote in an essay about her 4-year-old son Trig, who has Down Syndrome.  On raising a child with special needs, she said it was a “unique challenge, and there’s still fear about my son Trig’s future because of health and social challenges,” but concluded the piece by saying: “He’s our “everything that really matters”.

3. Princess Diana. The movie.

Yes. You read correctly. It’s being reported that the life of the British Royal will be made into a Hollywood movie, based on memoirs from her bodyguard Ken Wharfe’s book ‘Diana: Closely Guarded Secret’. The biggest question is: Which actress will play her? Have a look at the gallery and tell us your pick.

4. The quotes of Karl Lagerfield.

It’s not just fashion he’s known for – it’s also his tendency to voice some rather harsh opinions. On the topic of pop singer Adele, Lagerfield said in an interview with Metro: “The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice.” While we’re on the topic, here’s some of his other quotes: “Nobody wants Greece to disappear, but they have really disgusting habits — Italy as well”, If I was a woman in Russia I would be a lesbian, as the men are very ugly” and “People in magazines are 50 per cent bimbo and 50 per cent pregnant women.”

Joan Rivers has had more the 700 surgeries. Maybe.

5. Joan Rivers has had how many surgeries?

739. That’s how many plastic surgeries the 78-year-old American comedian and TV host admitted to having during an episode of her show “Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?” But it turns out it was just a joke. During an interview with Anderson Cooper she joked again: “Every weekend I just go in and I do something new. I get a 10th one free. It’s a little like coffee you just keep going,” she said.

6. Reserve Bank meets today.

Keeps rates on hold at 4.25%. That’s the gist.

7. Kevin Rudd tells Julia Gillard “Now you’re just somebody that I used to know”

Sort of. It’s a parody of Gotye’s Somebody That I Used to Know, based on speculation that K-Rudd will challenge Julia Gillard for leadership of the Labor party. Have a look.
