I love looking at clothes in magazines and online. Flicking through the pages and clicking through the galleries of amazing outfits, swooning over what I wished I could own.
Big problem being: Wish. Because those crucial coloured bills that help make a fashion crush a wardrobe reality are less plentiful than I’d like. When it comes to fashion, my eyes are definitely bigger than my wallet.
And that’s the experience of most women I know. When we look at photos of fashionable celebrities, the cost of what they’re wearing is usually, ah, well, outside most of our salary brackets.
This is a place to come and see real women and their real wardrobes. Some of the stuff they’re wearing is high end, some is from chain stores, some is from markets, some is from op shops – hell some is sneakily stolen from a sister’s wardrobe.

Bec wears a sweater from Gap, shirt from op shop, jeans from Zara, bag from Cambridge Satchel Company and shoes from Wittner
Mamamia’s wardrobe week is about showcasing fashion in everyday life – how you (and we) have fun with fashion, mixing high and low, new and old, bright and dark… On the weekend, at the office, dropping the kids to school or just out-and-about.
From the photos you have sent in this week, there are a few consistent themes. Coloured jeans (from neon pink to mint green), florals and sequins seem to be what you are wearing. And my, how we love a bit of sparkle.
If you can’t get enough of fashion pics and need to up your daily dose then you can follow us on Instagram: @mamamiaaus
We love all the pics being sent through but we are greedy and we want MORE. Remember this post starts with YOU, so get snapping!
Send one, two… or even ten photos of your favourite outfits of the week with details of where you bought it to jasmine@mamamia.com.au and be featured in next week’s gallery.

Does anyone know the best places online to shop for sizes14-16 ish? My size varies and sometimes I fit into a size 12, sometimes 16… lots of plus size sites I have visites don’t really have the same style as the other popular sites like boohoo.com, etc.
Also, what is everyone’s opinion on what looks best for a curvier figure without accentuation wobbly tummies/wide thighs?

Might sound draggy but Millers have great jeans that hold your tummy in.
I also think tops that cross over in a V are great on a fuller figure.
My best looking clothes for my size( 14-16) is Sacha Drake. they have some lovely basic dresses that are very flattering.

I love those sportsgirl flats with the chains at the ankle!! I’ve been on the hunt for some cute flats for ages. Does anyone know if they’re from this season?

Hi Jessica, love that asos skirt, was there any left? Also do you find the size chart at Asos is fairly accurate? I have not made a purchase yet as am worried the sizing will be wrong from the website recommendations.. Thanks xx

What about showing clothes suitable for stay st home mums – other than trackies & T’s. I can’t do designer chasing after a 2&1/2 year old! Please HELP!

Hey, I’m a stay at home mum and I wear the stuff that I’m pictured in the gallery in. I just use all of my clothes, even if they get stains or rips. It’s nice to get dressed up a bit. I buy cheaply on eBay.

I am a stay at home mum too, and wear the clothes that I’m pictured in. I think life is too short too wear them only on ‘special occasions’.
Apart from days that I’m cleaning, that’s when I wear trackies and old clothes…

I am a SAHM to a nine month old, its great I am finally able to wear all my clothes. I find that evn going out dresses can be dressed down with a pair of ballet flats etc. I love looking up Mumma Mia and Lifestyled.com to get inspiration. I think Paula Joye and Mia are such stylish mums.

There’s a notable absence of flannelette, ugg boots, polar fleece and terry toweling in this selection. To see what women are really wearing –

Aren’t you cold, Nat and Jamila? It is the middle of winter and you’re both in pictures in dresses and tops without sleeves and skirts with no stockings on!

I know. I always asking if they are cold. Im always freezing and they’re peeling off layers. We have some temp control issues!

Wow, Nicoletta looks so gorgeous – and I’m glad to say she’s a friend of mine!
I think the best thing most of these ladies are wearing is a beautiful smile.

Particularly love Bec’s outfits. Great taste!

Most people cannot afford designer closes and definitely not entire outfits, I’m all for make the most of what you have within your budget.
I get my clothing from Valley Girl, Target, Kmart, cocolatte, Mix (The Coles brand) as well as my sisters wardrobe and by shopping around I’m as much of a fashion icon as anyone else because I am creative, and fashion is all about being creative.

On the Cheap ‘n Cheerful theme, last week I discovered boohoo.com and spent a happy couple of hours shopping. A huge parcel arrived on my doorstep this morning – love love LOVE it all and can’t wait to wear it! I got a mix of work tops and skirts, casual tops and a handbag for next to nix; it’s all fab. I will definitely shop there again.
