Really enjoyed The Book Circle. Very excited that The Bronze Horseman is being developed for cinema. That will be an 8 tissue film me thinks..

Yet another reason for me to love this site – Judith Lucy. Possibly the funniest woman this country has ever seen! LOVE her. We need this woman on radio STAT! Can one of these bloody stations hire her??

Have just bought Caroline Overington’s book Sisters of Mercy and of course, can not put it down. Unfortunately, need to read The Night Circus for our next book club meeting in December. To say I love Caroline’s books is an understatement. The way she writes is just so intriguing…so mesmerising…they way she makes her characters get into our heads. Amazing. Am dying to finish it but am making myself wait…

wondering if anyone can help me – I need a book (or 10) for a friend’s girl that can help her to realize the fact that sex is more than just…well sex; and that she shouldn’t just give herself away to whoever wants her. Long story – but books have always seemed to help her whenever she’s needed to learn something – thanks :)

‘Fifty Shades of Grey’? Kidding. How about Kaz Cooke’s ‘Girl Stuff’?

I’ve heard this is a good book:

“Boys Will Put You on a Pedestal (So They Can Look Up Your Skirt):
A Dad’s Advice for Daughters” by Philip Van Munching and Katie Couric
      (May 3, 2005)

If she’s a teenager, why not try some fiction titles with loving relationships at the centre, too? I seem to remember plenty of recommendations in the post about fictional heroines on MM the other day.

Cuurent faves of mine are the wonderful Graceling series, and anything by John Green.

as much as she loves books I don’t think she’s ever fully invested herself in them. She seems to relate more to TV characters like Santana Lopez from the TV show ‘Glee’. I’ve tried fiction books with her but she just doesn’t get it. >.< my friend's also just discovered her girl has Aspergers Syndrome so this might make more sense now? No idea.

The Secret Keeper by Kate Morton. Her best book yet. Couldn’t put it down. I don’t understand why she isn’t reviewed much in the Australian media. She’s our best-selling author.
