You’re at a party or a club, you’re bored out of your brain and contemplating going home and then BAM! a certain song comes on and you just have to get up and dance.
For me it’s Billy Ocean ‘Get out of my dreams, get into my car” … any vintage Kylie. And I can’t resist Xanadu
We all have one just-gotta-dance-to-this song … what’s yours?

I want you to want me by cheap trick. I can’t even have it on my ipod when I run because I am likely to stop and dance my little heart out! I save it for when I have the house to myself and I can pump it up nice and loud

Living on a Prayer- Bon Jovi.
ALWAYS(enjoy the Bon Jovi pun there) dance insanely to it or karoke to it. I dont usually dance without a lot of dutch courage but you will see me putting the most inebriated of folks to shame even without a touch of alcohol when the first few cords of this song call to me.
loading...
A crap load of alcohol could see me at any club where pop is played… and even more could get me dancing to … um… Grease Megamix (though, you dont really dance to that!!) and….um. anything by No doubt for sure, or daft punks around the world. However, the type of clubs I usually go to, Marilyn Manson gets me out there! I cannot resist Getting up to the Violent femmes, or Nirvana. And Olympia by Hole – or even celebrity skin. EVERY TIME. I also like pennywises Bro Hymn, and anything by Blink 182, green day, Reel Big Fish, Save Ferris, or the donnas because they are all just ridiculously fun! If I am lucky enough to hear Brand New…. I will both be on the floor and leading the charge. ESPECIALLY if it is Sic Transit Gloria.

The Gambler by Kenny Rogers is a staple at any event, wedding etc.
Except its not really dancing, everyone just gets in a big circle with their arms around each other lol
My friend got married out on his property last year but had a DJ come down from the city to do the music. We requested it and he scoffed saying noone would get up to that song. Imagine his surprise when the ENTIRE wedding (120 people) joined our circle. good thing we had a big marquee!
