Prince Charles decided to give weather forecasting a try during a tour of the BBC Scotland television studio. And you know what? We’ve decided he’s kind of awesome. Take a look.
Oh Charlie…you funny old chap…
I nearly fell off MY throne when I witnessed your weather reading on the news channel old boy.
But lo and behold, when Camilla fronted up for her shot at it…I had finished needing to be on my throne and began wiping…..I know which of those latter moments I enjoyed the most……
Jolly ho ho ho……
I loved it! Having lived in London for a few years some time back, I got used to their euphemisms such as ‘crisp’, ‘clear’ (this always meant cold!), and ‘mild’ (OK, not horrible, but still cold!). The Scots apparently don’t even bother with that! Mostly just ‘rain’
And the bit about the bank holiday at the end is rather cute too. Bank holidays (public holidays / long weekends) are reknowned for bad weather throughout the UK. Everyone plans a big family weekend, and inevitably ends up sitting in traffic in miserable weather! It’s one of those little things that proves he’s actually got his feet on the ground, at least a little bit i.e. he watches TV / listens to radio with *some* regularity! He seems more approachable and relaxed these days…
