Happy Hump Day and welcome to Open Post. Come and chat about whatever you like. We mean it – there are no limits, so go wild!
It’s been a little crazy around the office lately – but crazy in a good way. We’re in a bit of a state of flux and will have some very exciting announcements coming in the next few weeks. (If you don’t already, why not follow us on Twitter and Facebook? And maybe even Pinterest too? It’s the perfect way to make sure you never miss out on the latest.)
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the things we’ve been up to around the office and beyond….

Mia ran into The Dictator on the Today Show this morning. He's otherwise known as Sacha Baron Coen. She said he did not break character. Not once.
OMM (On My Mind): I’ve been thinking a lot about winter - my least favourite season ever. We’ve really gotten a taste of it in Sydney-town lately, and I’ve been standing at the bus stop on cold mornings just dreaming of happier, warmer, bikini-er times.
I always struggle in the transition over to the colder months of the year. I don’t like saying goodbye to daylight savings, I hate packing my denim shorts away and I’ve never looked good in a beanie. But the thing I’ve really been battling with? Breakfast.
You heard me. I’ve never been a breakfast eater. For me, breakfast is like that friend that you don’t particularly like or get along with but you hang out with them just because everybody else does.
To begin with, I’m not a morning person. I wish I could be the special kind of human that leaps out of bed fully awake before their alarm clock even goes off and wolfs down a giant bowl of muesli with yogurt and five different types of fruit. I’m more the kind that stays up far too late saying “I’m not even tired!” then sleeps through five different alarms and finally half-crawls out of bed to pull on some clothes for work (I always lay them out the night before, to avoid utilising any decision making skills whatsoever in the morning). I have been known to pretend not to see people I know on the bus, just so I can avoid talking before 8:30am.
As a result, I usually devour a piece of fruit before I dash out the door – but with the change in season, fruit’s just not doing it for me. I need something quick but also something that’s going to warm my poor chilly bones. Something yummy but also something that doesn’t involve developing a daily chocolate muffin habit. Your suggestions are welcome. Please no bacon & eggs – I may be the only person alive whose stomach turns at the mention of that combination.
What’s going on in your world this week? What’s on your mind?
(ps. OMM stands for On My Mind, for those of you playing at home!)

I seriously love the outfits you guys wear. So fab and Mia’s shoes – *sigh*.
And I wish you would hurry up with the news! All these hints are very frustrating!
OMM this week are the $250 Swarovski earrings I bought for a friends birthday, then promptly left on the counter of Village Cinemas. There I was casually perusing Equip when I looked down to NOT see the Swarovski bag! There I was running through Westfield like a Madwoman shrieking to all the shops I had been to HAVE YOU SEEN A SWAROVSKI BAG??!! As soon as I made it back to Village, there it was sitting behind the counter. I honestly could have jumped the counter to plant a big one on the assistant. The relief was palpable. If I hadn’t have found it, I would have had to buy another pair (5 of us had put in the money.) Holy shit I felt sick. I shoved it in another bag and powerwalked to my car, only to feel something wet on my leg – my takeaway coffee had spilt all over the Swarovski bag. Yes, a comedy of errors was happening in my local shoppingtown. Luckily, I managed to soak up most of the coffee, but the gorgeous white ribbon they use is now brown. I am giving my friend those earrings on Saturday and I NEVER WANT TO MENTION THEM AGAIN!
Lucy – try Mia’s green shakes for breakfast….yummy….

Could you go back to the store and ask for one of the ‘gift’ bags – take the coffee one in? If not too far away.

What’s on my mind? Haemorrhoids!! I had a baby 8 weeks ago and have been struggling with haemorrhoids ever since from all the pushing. It’s funny everyone talks about the perineal tear and stitches etc, but they healed much faster than this (literal) pain in my backside.
loading...
Oh I feel for you, you poor thing. I also had them after having my baby. I made my husband go to the pharmacy on my behalf as I was so mortified. I ended up getting some suppositories from the GP which did the trick.
loading...
Oh you poor thing!! I totally understand your pain. You probably have all this info, but the very very best things to do are have sitz baths (shallow warm bath you sit up in; I added sea salt or epsom salts) a couple of times a day (annoying I know, but the best!!) and use witch-hazel on some cotton balls (really soak them with it) tucked in against the little buggers – best over night in your undies but can be done during the day. Your butt cheeks will hold them in! haha). Don’t use a pad as it will soak up all the liquid instead of letting it sit on the surface. Witch hazel can be purchased from most supermarkets in the beauty section – only one brand that I know of and it’s TM Dickinson (clear bottle with blue and white label). Honestly I tried every cream from the chemist but it was the witch hazel that really fixed them!!! Best of luck – they are SO painful!!!!

Nat – you need porridge! Warm and toasty and perfect for winter mornings. Cooks in about 90 secs in the microwave. Done.

OMM: First wedding anniversary on Monday. Haven’t celebrated yet, because it is end of semester, and husband has so many exams, tests, assignments, etc, plus all the concerts seem to have happened at once! Crazy times…
Also OMM: I can’t stop thinking about the girls who got caught in the Kimberly Ultramarathon bushfire…I think I missed it when it happened (sometimes I will go a week or so without visiting PerthNow, etc, and feel like I am on another planet, let alone country!) but now it is in the courts, it is everywhere. I hope things start to go a little bit right for them.
loading...
Happy anniversary!

Thanks!

Hi Rach,
I went to school with one of the girls who got caught in the bushfire. I didn’t know her personally but the devastation it has caused (and is still causing) her family and the small town is heartbreaking. I really hope all of the people injured receive some kind of justice x

Oh i love breakfast. It’s my favourite meal of the day. Sometimes I’ll have breakfast foods for dinner too! Favourite is scrambled eggs with cheese, ham and tomato on top of toast spread with (half an) avocado! YUM! When it’s warmish i’ll have a protein shake with it but lately I’ve had a cup of tea with some manuka honey and a teaspoon of coconut oil!
OMM: My lack of ambition. I don’t have any real desire to do anything with my life at the moment and I haven’t for a long time. I think it’s because I know I can’t do much because I’m not qualified and best case scenario i won’t be til the end of 2014 and worse case… well I don’t even want to think about it.

Brinner. It’s um, a winner.

Hello Everyone! I’m back from America (cue eyerolling and groaning “oh I had hoped she was gone for good”!!).
Had the best time, can’t believe this time last week I was in Vegas and this week I’m sitting at my desk!
My favourite place was Washington, we only had three days there and I needed about 10! My least favourite – New York, surprisingly. Food was awful in New York, I got the flu and made friends with many toilet seats due to the food (especially the eggs and cheese) making me so ill! The amount of people there shocked me a bit too. The lines and security to get anywhere was crazy, worse than airport security for some places.
I loved Chicago and Vegas too! New Orleans was quite nice, but not as good as the others.
For those who might be interested, here is me, just hanging out at my friend Barack’s house:
loading...
That’s all very well and good but HOW WAS THE SHOPPING?
loading...
Oh, yes, THAT! It was rather excellent, except (shock horror), I was completely overwhelmed every time I went into Sephora because there was SO MUCH to chose from. I got heaps of make up, but didn’t keep track of the make up I was buying, so I ended up with about 5 eyeshadow palettes. Good times. Every Walgreens (pharmacy) I went to, I got Maybelline, Rimmel, etc and then a big spend on Bobbi Brown/Clinique, etc at Sephora!
I had a really hard time finding tops over there, and ended up buying 4 or 5 from Ann Taylor which is kind of like Esprit/Country Road but more floral. I did get a royal blue Calvin Klein dress for $85 though, and Reebok gym gear for like, K-Mart prices! I also really loved Banana Republic, but Zara didn’t blow me away!! Topshop did though, it was fantastic.
I spent so much I had to post stuff back so I didn’t have over the customs limit when arriving back!!
If I could go back, I would have done all my shopping in New Orleans rather than in Vegas because New Orleans was ridiculously cheap. Oh and I would have gone to the outlets in Vegas BEFORE going to Fashion Show Mall.
I got a bikini at forever 21 for $9. Seriously, $9. But everything else in Forever 21 was not my style!
loading...
What is this Sephora about? Apparently there’s a big one in Paris (I’m going later this year) but I’m quite clueless.
I’d love to have gone to New Orleans before Katrina. Now? Maybe not so much.
loading...
It’s like make up Mecca. Bobbi Brown, Dior, Clinique, Benefit and a whole heap of others are stocked there.
I found New Orleans quite lovely. Bourbon Street scared the shit out of me at night time, but we went to a fantastic piano bar where the pianists dualled songs from crowd requests. Brilliant. I have little idea what it was like pre-Katrina though.
loading...
Sephora in Paris not much cheaper than Sydney prices.
Clothes and accessories on the other hand are about 50% less for brands like Zara, Gap, Camper, Longchamp…
loading...
I went to Sephora in Paris (on the Champs Elysee) and it was AMAZING! I could have spent hours and hours in there… Have also been to the one in Malaysia and off to America next month so will hit up the one in New York… a magical store
loading...
Which outlets? I am going to Vegas in 4 weeks and see that there is more than one outlet shopping mall? I won’t have time to visit all of them. From my knowledge there is a north and a south one. Any advice would be greatly appreciated x
loading...
I went to the “North” outlet (this time last week actually haha). Apparently, it is the better of the two (north or south).
There are two buses that stop along the strip that go up and down the strip and out to the outlets and the north one stops in downtown Vegas. I got on the bus just outside the Wynn going to the “north” outlet. Didn’t have time or money left to go to the south outlet! I reckon the Palazzo shops and Planet Hollywood are better than the Fashion Show Mall too!
loading...
Welcome back Whippersnapper. Have to say though New York was my absolute favourite place though I do agree that they seem to have an unhealthy obsession with cheese.
loading...
Ugh, cheese. American cheese at that. EVERYTHING has cheese on it. I reckon they use so much because it is so tasteless.
loading...
Wow sounds like you had a great time. I must say my first time to NYC took a little getting used to. I also caught the flu and was on medication most of the time during my stay there. I think I enjoyed NYC much more the 2nd time round. We will be including Chicago in our trip this year. Can you recommend any fabulous places to see, eat at etc.?
Gosh I hope Barack makes it back in again…:)
loading...
We just recently saw the Chicago History Museum, it was really interesting! Navy Pier and Millenium Park are must-sees, too. I recommend spending some time just walking around the city – it’s a very walkable city, and lots of photos ops that you can’t get driving around. I hope you like it!
loading...
Chicago is really great, I loved it!
I loved the Field Museum and the John Shedd Aquarium, plus the John Hancock Centre (far superior to the Sears now Willis Tower in my opinion). The Magnificent Mile was SO GOOD – the Hersey’s store is so much fun. The Chicago Tribune building is awesome too, they have pieces of many famous buildings from around the world stuck on the outside of the building!
We are at many many good places in Chicago. Ditkas (owner is some former football coach or something) (I think the spelling)- we had lunch there one day, fabulous. Deep Dish pizza from Duo and Uno (Again, I think that is the name, they are a famous Chicago institution), the Webber Grill (good steak)!
loading...
What Rach said about Millenium Park too. I thought Navy Pier was only so so though – but it was cold and windy when I went.
Oh and, me too. I love Barack. I even took a photo with him here, LOL:
loading...
Here, even!
loading...
I believe Navy Pier gets better as the weather improves…lots of stuff doesn’t operate until May. There’s much more ‘adult’ and sightseeing stuff when it’s warmer, like boat tours, beer garden, outdoor theatre…I know this because everything that sounds good was closed for the season when I was there!
loading...
I’m glad you liked Chicago! It’s such a beautiful city. I am hoping to train it up this summer and spend a day just walking around – I have seen it several times in the cold and snow, never in summer! I hope it’s more beautiful!
I hear you on the food. I got soooo sick last time we were just visiting!
More photos!
loading...
So ridiculously jealous! Your hair looks so much lighter in these pictures too compared to your display picture… but seriously, you have me devastated that you didn’t enjoy NY seeing I’m planning on being there for 6 months next year.. fingers crossed I like it ha! Keep the pictures coming xx
loading...
Don’t worry, I’m sure you will love it. If I had more time there I’m sure it would have been much better. I definitely will go again and will probably love it more!
My hair is lighter because my display pic is over 12 months old and I dyed it strawberry blonde about 4 months ago
loading...
How did you go with the flights?
loading...
Totally fine – they were all very smooth other than some turbulance on the flight on the way back. Sleeping tablets didn’t help either – I basically was in that awful “dozing” state rather than actual sleep, despite taking a whole sleeping tablet!

OMM: Nervously awaiting a call letting me know if I got the job I interviewed for on Thursday! Going a bit stir crazy after being unemployed for 6 weeks (by choice, it must be said- left a pretty amazing job in WA to come home to SA with no job to go to) and have yet to line up another interview despite applying for jobs almost everyday…

Breakfast Bread and butter puddings
You can make it the night before & reheat it in the microwave if you are always in a hurry in the morning (like me!), or fresh every morning if you have the time.
I use this recipe as a base, although I leave out the vanila & sugar when making it for breakfast.
http://stepfordsecrets.blogspot.com/2010/05/mini-bread-and-butter-puddings.html
and then change it up a bit depending on my mood and what i have on hand. some of my favorite variations are adding:
- a mashed up an overripe banana, cinnamon & nutmeg
- frozen blueberries & walnuts
- spreading the bread with jam and/or peanutbutter
- ham & cheese (tomato)
- any stewed fruit
- use croissants instead of bread
I like to have a jug of the milk/egg mix in the fridge and adapt it as i like.
If you are going to reheat it the next day, make sure to use a microwave save dish!
Alternativly
:
-Poached eggs on toast spread with mashed avacado (I use a “little Chick” silicon microwave egg poacher
- make pikelets (or pikelet batter the night before) and reheat/cook up quickly in the morning

Just sent someone my favourite juice recipe so I thought I’d copy it for you Mia/ anyone else. Its the best:
1 lemon (an essential ingredient.)
2 or 3 tomatoes
beetroot
carrots
1 clove garlic
some fresh fennel
spinach leaves
sprigs parsley
celery
I’ve also just moved back to juices from green smoothies, can’t seem to handle them now that I’m preggers.

I’m recovering from being Stoned: Kidney Stoned to be exact. The pain of Renal Colic is apparently worse than natural childbirth, gun shot wounds and broken bones. Thankfully I can only compare it to the first – and yes – it’s up there!
“Pain out of 10?” they asked.
“Not a high enough number” said I.
So, I’m recuperating at home after my second operation in ten days. Hypnotized by Daytime TV I’ve almost bought a ladder that applies mineral make-up (?) and I’ve watched so many stand-up comedy DVDs I’m heckling in my sleep.
Apparently it looked like THIS! Awaiting pathology results…

Microwave scrambled eggs. Bit of butter, milk and salt. 1 minute in the microwave, stir and again for another minute or three. Also a fan of the porridge sachet. Thow in some frozen berries warmed in the microwave – yummo.
Grilled cheese on toast – nuther complete fave.
OMM – I’m hoping my meh is just onset-of-winter funk. Might book myself some flights to Brisvegas to see my eldest cherub and make me happy.

I’m writing this from hospital. I’ve been in for 2 weeks nows. I had a worsening of symptoms to the point where I couldn’t walk/move etc without vomiting. They think that they radiation has made my brain swell – so it is now a matter of letting it go down (with some hardcore drugs). It has been tough.
But: today is my birthday. Yay for me. I’m 35. I’m living/surviving with a brain tumour. I will see my family today and hopefully there will be cake (there had better be cake!!). Every day is a blessing (especially if there is cake). I’m hoping to be home soon so I can start the next phase of recovery.
Hugs to everyone and have some cake!

Well that’s just put my “bored with my job, broke and not enough time with my husband lately” whinge into perspective. Hope the cake is spectacular, happy birthday, and thanks a million for reminding me every day is a blessing xx

So I quit my job on Monday. I don’t have another one to go to, I’ll get roughly 6 weeks pay to find another one.
I am absolutely sh*%ting myself but I was so desperately unhappy and completely over it that I just couldn’t do it any more. My boss was horrid, he would make fake HR allegations against me, would tell me off for doing something yet if someone else did or said the same thing he would think it was funny. He is completely incompetent and shouldn’t be in the role and I was sick of having to fix his mistakes. Without me there I kind of hope Karma comes and bites him in the bum.
I know I’ve done the right thing for my mental health but now I’m a bit worried about paying rent.
I was told that taking a leap of faith can lead to the most amazing things happening so I hope that works out for me.
I just need to find a new job, I’m thinking of trying something completely different but everyone wants so much experience it makes it hard. Even with nearly 10 years in the workforce it’s still hard looking for a new job. And I know (and am continually told) that I could do anything I wanted.
I’ve even thought about moving away from Melbourne to do it.
What do you guys think?
loading...
I admire your courage Me!!
We spend so much of our time at work you need to find something that makes you happy.
Good luck with the job search
loading...
Thanks Dolly, I’m not sure it’s courageous or silly. Time will tell I guess!
loading...
I think once you have a new job you will be kicking yourself that you didn’t resign sooner. It’s just that initial period of the unknown.
I stayed in a job once that i was miserable in and i was off sick for a week with something awful (i say that because i don’t take a lot of sick days so in order for me to have the week off it must of been bad) when i came back from sick leave the office was packed up and everyone was gone. Yep. The boss had pissed off to Dubai and one of the managers had started his own company and taken one of the other girls with him and ‘forgot’ to tell me i guess.
Anyway the point of that story is that if i hadn’t been such chicken shit and stopped worrying about ‘them’ and worried more about me i never would of been put in that position. You are not chicken shit you’ve taken control of your life to make it better. Only good things to come.

OMG this is *exactly* where I am at the moment!!! So I can’t offer any advice, but you are not alone… it’s made me feel a bit better to know that someone else is going through the same thing, so hopefully it helps you too!

I did the exact same thing last September.
You wont regret it. Life is so precious and short. Hating your job is something you can fix. Leave.
I stuck with a job I hated and whilst overseas on a few weeks of glorious holiday, I had an epiphany – came home, quit my job with nothing else to go to. Lived off my savings for a few months, dried up that bank account and then I made it happen. I went out and got a job that was *just* enough to pay my rent but it didn’t matter because I was happy. I’m now working a job that pays more than my previous job did and am 1000% happier. That’s a win in my book!

OMM; I’m so desperately looking for part time work at the moment. Not because I really want to but because I have to. My daughter is 2 now and we can’t really survive on just one income. But at the same time I don’t just want any job, I want something that I will enjoy. I used to be a teacher’s aid but there is no part time work at the moment. Sigh… What to do….

Thinking of you today xxx
loading...
OMM: open-plan offices should have a ‘no scent’ policy. Or a separation of at least 2.5m between workstations.
loading...
I agree! I worked with a woman who I sat close to and she had a tuna sandwich for lunch every day. The smell was sickening.
loading...
I forgot about food smells, but I agree totally. I was actually thinking of people who splash half a bottle of perfume or aftershave all over themselves.
loading...
As someone who gets instant headaches from many perfumes I totally agree…
loading...
Yes thats true too, I didnt think about that. Or the people who go to the gym at lunchtime and return stinking of BO.
loading...
Or ban fish and fish related products!
loading...
OMM: Change to a new job! Will be hard to leave the great conditions and flexibility etc, but I have convinced myself that it will be worth it for my sanity! I will actually use my brain everyday again, have more room to move in this company, work with my sis (!) and eventually (fingers crossed) make more money. because lets face it, we dont work for free!
Also, still over the moon for said sis that got married last week – she looked beautiful and they are so happy. But I’m jealous they get a nice honeymoon in the sun – its cold here!
Now all I’m thinking about is breakfast. It is my favourite meal of the day! Love it! (even though i have weetbixs and rice bubbles/ some sort of flakes Monday- friday):)
loading...
90sec oats (plain) then mix pureed apple or other fruit in. Yummo and all done and eaten in 5 minutes!
I have always been a non breakfast type person too until pregnancies dictated that I eat or be sick!
loading...
They’re the best! If you’re anything like me Nat the 5 minutes it takes to eat them is 5min that could be spent in bed and I pop them in a container and eat them at the bus stop
loading...
CRUMPETS! Butter and honey! Yum! Although the butter dripping off your chin as you run for the bus might not be the best look!
loading...
Carmans porridge – you can soak in the fridge the night beforehand and it only takes a couple of minutes in the microwave, tastes just like stove top porridge. Or my fav quick morning brekkie, english muffins with jam or nutella and a nice cup of hot herbal tea.
loading...
Soak in the fridge overnight. Love it! Thanks for the tip
loading...
Cornflakes with hot milk and hot stewed rhubarb. I was worried about hot breakfast because I dont eat gluten but I find that satisfies me on chilly mornings! It only takes a minute to zap the milk and rhubarb in the microwave too.
That’s a stunner of a picture of Lana & Bec!
loading...
Exciting things this week! Put forward the idea of getting married in Vegas.
But like, properly. None of this Elvis impersonator crap. It would just be such a beautiful and easy way to just DO it, and to get one hell of a honeymoon too!
I went to Vegas last year and it was amazing.
loading...
I want to come to your wedding!
loading...
My parents want to renew their vows in Vegas one day. That city is just incredible – one of my favourite places in the world for sure! Sounds like a great plan, Anon
loading...
Ah, no, I have to disagree. I hate being the centre of attention at occassions like that, so my ideal wedding would be in Vegas, by an Elvis impoersonator, with strangers as witnesses.
loading...
If I ever did it again, before my friends smack me with wooden planks, it’d be in Vegas with a Korean Elvis.
loading...
Elvis impersonator crap?!?!?
That smarts. I got engaged in Vegas in an Elvis suit in the lobby of the Treasure Island hotel. You’re further cheapening an already very gaudy experience for me and Priscilla.
Sigh. The Pelvis’s lyric ‘Wise men say, only fools rush in’ has become increasingly poignant down through the years.
Just kidding, awesome idea – you guys will have a blast if you can bring it off.
loading...
You should just do it Anon! I was in Vegas this time last week and getting married there would have been so easy!
In fact, I got a little excited when Mr W asked me if I’d want to get married in Vegas, and then suggested we go to a chapel and dress up just to freak my Mum out (to which I said yes to getting married in Vegas because then I wouldn’t have to pay for a wedding and then no to going to a chapel for a ‘fake photo’!)
loading...
We got married in Vegas last year. It was perfect. No-one there but us. We went out to a chapel just outside of Vegas in Henderson which was lovely. Drove back into Vegas after and had dinner and drinks on the Terrace at The Bellagio, where my husband sent a text message to our families telling them what we had done.
He had planned the whole thing right down to getting his sister over to KL to mind our girls for us and then surprised me with the idea. Sensational.
loading...
I want to, guys, truly! I just want Mr to make sure it’s what he wants too.
And I’m only Anon because too many people I know read this site! I don’t want the cat out of the bag quite yet!

Hi Nat – great post, though once again I have office envy when I look through the weekly open post photos.
Breakfast options – def suggest the microwave porridge sachets and even better the ones that come with their own disposable bowls. Delicious flavour options as well. or..
bagels? Easy to eat on the run and can mix it up with different toppings.

Office envy you say? That’s easily fixed – we actually have a job opening at the moment to join the editorial team! We’re fun. I promise.

I don’t doubt for a second that you are a fun bunch – hence the office envy! Though no question you work hard too I’m sure. I would have a field day gettting dressed each day as opposed to my current boring corporate attire. Though I’m rocking cool nails and red lippie thanks to Zoe.

I’m so very exciting about this competition – I’m looking forward to having the chance to embrace my body and my curves and get all dolled up again!
MM Friends – please do me a MASSIVE favour and go onto http://www.misspinupaustralia.com.au/index.php?page=nsw and vote for me – ‘Lana Honey’. One of the categories is ‘Miss Popular Pinup’ and the lady with the most online votes wins that one. I’d love it if you could all get behind me on this exciting adventure and fingers crossed my photos are good enough to make the NSW state finals……. So excited but so scared at the same time!!
Much love to everyone! xoxox

OMM: yesterday was my 7th wedding anniversary. To be honest, I forgot about it until last Saturday. We didn’t do anything in particular, but on Monday night P-Daddy came home with 7 gourmet cupcakes. I really do love that man to bits.
The picture here isn’t the best quality, but it’s the only one I could find on this computer!

Uncle Toby’s 90 second porridge! In many delicious flavours (I promise I don’t work for Uncle Toby’s) quick and easy!

Porridge? You could get those quick chuck-it-in-the-microwave packets. Relatively quick, warming and yummy

I agree, I have been having porridge every morning since it got cold and it is so easy with the packets as measuring whilst bleary eyed is easy peasy. Yum yum!

Raisin toast and a cup of tea – perfect for chilly mornings.

How did I forget about raisin toast?! Thanks Kateateight!

I’m a sucker for weetbix heated up in microwave to make them mushy (and then often topped with rice bubbles to add crunch). Addicted I tell you!

Or raisin muffins. Not the cupcake like muffins but the ones that are round and flat, that you spread butter and stuff on. *Thinks hard* English muffins! That’s what they’re called. So, raisin muffins are like a cross between english muffins and raisin toast. Somehow they make my mornings more special than just toast. There are also cheese and bacon muffins which are kinda orange but taste great in that artificial-cheese-flavour way.

oh my god, I love english muffins grilled with cheese on and little specks of ham.
