Hello there!
You’ve reached a safe place on the internet (a rarity to be sure). Right here you can open up completely and tell us exactly what is going on in your world — good and bad. No need to wash your hair or paint your nails; heck, no need to even get out of your pyjamas! There’s no judgement here, only sunshine and rainbows. So grab your cup of tea or your bottle of wine and a bendy straw and let’s get straight into it.
If you’re new to this don’t worry- so am I! So no need to be shy.
So what’s going on this week? Here we go.
The best:
I had a rare opportunity between interning at Mamamia and working to catch up for lunch with my girlfriends from my old 9 to 5 office job. You never realise just how much you will miss your work friends until you leave and you’re no longer having gossip breaks in the kitchen over a boiling kettle and sending sneaky emails about the others in the office. Plus I got to order an amazing burger and fries without judgement. Is it too mean to my friends to say the burger was the highlight?
The worst:
The lovely Holly Tapp a contestant on the Voice AU and a former class-mate of mine did not make it through the next round on the show.
Having recently celebrated our five-year high school reunion without Holly (due to her preparing for the show) the whole cohort was brimming with excitement for her TV debut and absolutely full of support for her throughout the program. Which is why it was such a shocking blow she wasn’t crowned winner of the whole damn thing. Holly, you were robbed!
Editor’s note: It goes without saying that the entire Mamamia Team is thinking about the passengers and friends and relatives of passengers on board Malaysia Airlines flight MH17. Deepest condolences.
What’s going on in your world?

I am a bit late due to the below!
Best: Found out i am pregnant, its very early on in our relationship but if its meant to be its meant to be! We are both very excited and cannot wait to start this journey into parent hood... PLUS: i love to shop so baby stores here I come!
Worst: Not feeling very well...
Best - Ive met someone who is incredibly handsome and funny. We have been totally flirting and finally after 2 years of being single I've met a man that makes me want to jump his bones and also hang out with him. I'm hard pressed keeping my hands to myself when I'm around him.... One of the best parts is he has a beard and I LOVE beards! He makes me smile this dumb smile when I get a text and I feel so comfortable around him. I've been waiting for an amazing guy and not willing to settle for less and it looks like it's paid off.
Worst - My ex husband... he just got engaged to someone half his age and is treating our kids horribly and I'm having to deal with the flack from it. I just want to slap him.
So happy for you.
Your ex sounds like my uncle. He remarried someone half his age, treated his kids horribly because they were an inconvenience to the child bride....anyway fast forward 30 years, he's now a lonely old man twice divorced and his kids don't want anything to do with him.
Perhaps you should share my story with your ex?
good on you and your ex will regret his behaviour he really doesn't have anything genuinely in common with the little girl he is marrying and she will see through that. I don't get these blokes who do this, to be with some one who is your contempory age wise means you grow old together.
