Best and Worst: How's your week been?

Best: The best part of my week is a cup of coffee. No, my week has not been that terrible that a cup of coffee is the only thing I have got going for me. It has been a hellishly long week drawn out by the fact that I’m only four weeks away from finishing my Masters’ degree and I’m off to Melbourne for the weekend. My first weekend off in six weeks – yippee!

So I’m looking forward to a few days of quality rest and relaxation, with enough beautifully barista-ed coffee to induce a momentary lapse of judgment, at best, and a small coma, at worst. Hasta la vista Sydney – see ya next week!

On my mind: Money, money, money. To be honest I’ve spent a lot of time this week thinking about the budget. This is mostly because my parents and I have very different views and I’m finding it hard to reconcile to that.

Also as a near-graduate (who went back to uni to diversify and make herself more employable) I’m a little bit angry. My background is international aid and development, which no longer gets much funding. Now that I’ve almost finished my degree in media studies, I am frustrated that funding to the arts, especially the ABC and Australia Network, is being rolled out. Good on me for making solid career moves!

Now over to you, it’s your turn. How’s your week been?
