Best and Worst of the week

Lana writes: First week of January over already.  Frightening. I think I may be ageing fast, isn’t a sign of ageing when time seems to fly by so fast? It’s time for  another episode of Best and Worst where you get to off-load the pits and brag about the peaks you’ve experienced this week, also to share anything that is on  your mind.

It’s been a busy start to the year on Mamamia with much discussion on  Gerry Harvey calling for GST on internet purchases.  We also had a chance to vent about our mothers and share stories of  sex in the parents home .

On the fashion front we were talking  Tom Ford and swooning over Madmen.

We chatted about whether your relationship would survive technology rage and where the sleeves go in summer.   We enthused about Kylie Ladd’s After the Fall and gasped we learned about the floods in Queensland.

We were shocked by this video and shared our new year resolutions.

All of this while Mia was technically on holidays which puts me in the fortunate position of starting best and worst for the week.

BEST- My dog had a friend come to stay .  Well actually our friends went away and we are looking after their dog.  I love watching the dogs play together and having an extra dog in the house has created much happiness and excitement for all of us (although I do have a back ache from having to sleep like a pretzel with two dogs on the bed)

WORST- I had to take my son to the dentist on Wednesday.  That screaming you heard? That was my worst
