The National Centre for Childhood Grief (NCCG – ‘A Friend’s Place’) is thrilled to announce the launch of a very special concept – an annual event called Remembering Hearts®.

This momentous event will be held on Saturday 12th October 2013 from 5.00pm to 7.00pm at Pirrama Park, 22 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont and involves a unique and new way to symbolise the memory of people special to us who have died.

All guests are invited to take part in the ceremony which promises to be a passionate, sentimental and fun way for adults and children alike to remember those we love.

A soluble paper Remembering Hearts® has been created to symbolise memories of special people who have died, and during the event guests can write a message on the heart, place the heart in the harbour and let it drift, remembering that death doesn’t end our relationships with people we love.

We are also honoured to announce that ‘The Voice’ sensation and National Centre for Childhood Grief Ambassador DARREN PERCIVAL will perform at this event. The event is free to attend and open to the general public. Remembering Hearts® Packs will be available to purchase from the centre or on the night.

Food and drinks can be purchased at the venue, and families are also invited to bring their own picnic, blanket and chairs. Please note the event will be Alcohol and Glass free.

It is advisable to check the website for plan changes in case of bad weather.
