In today’s highly regulated, OH&S-obsessed, politically correct, sanitised world, sometimes we all need a bit or rebellion.

Welcome to anarchy. First world style.

Where the closest thing we’ve got to living on the edge is cutting up onions on a cheese board.

This is the dilemma we are faced with. We elect governments to act in our best interest. They pass laws turning us into an over-regulated nanny state. We don’t like it so elect a different government. They don’t change the laws put in place by a previous government because it’s too hard. We are stuffed and continue to be treated like idiots and have our civil freedoms dissolved! OH&S, plain paper cigarette packaging, alco-pops tax, the carbon tax, increased motor vehicle FBT, the GST…..do I need to go on? We need more power as a nation to live the way we want to live!

If you want more power to live without ‘OH&S, plain paper cigarette packaging, alco-pops tax, the carbon tax, increased motor vehicle FBT, the GST’, I suggest you abdicate from society and become a survivalist hermit.

Governments, laws, over-regulated nanny state? That escalated quickly. The majority of these pictures have nothing to do with the government. ‘Keep left’ is not a law. ‘Place stamp here’ is not a law. Neither is ‘Stop wasting my blue tape.’ You are not legally compelled to put mustard in the mustard pump.

You mentioned a number of issues that you consider to be ‘dissolving civil freedoms.’ Would you like the freedom to be employed in an unsafe workplace due to inadequate OH&S regulations? Would you prefer that alcohol companies had the freedom to intentionally market dangerous drinks to underaged kids? And the GST – would you like the freedom to be treated in a sub-standard hospital, attend a failing school and drive on unsafe roads because the government has collected inadequate tax revenue? Is that really ‘the way [you] want to live’?

Very funny! I like rebelling against the rules too. The ‘stop wasting my blue tape’ one made me laugh.
