Life Hack: Now you can try out your unique tattoo design before you ink it.

Chinese symbols for ‘serenity’ that actually say ‘prawn dumpling’ could soon be a thing of the past.

A company in Philadelphia, USA called Momentary Ink has developed a service that lets you test out your potential ink.

All you have to do is upload a picture of your design and size specifications, or set up a time to meet with one of their artists to create a unique piece, customised for you. Momentary Ink will then print off the temporary waterproof tattoo, allowing you to see exactly what it would look like. The ink is high-quality and nontoxic, of course.

Prices range between USD 15-18 for 0-3 inches, up to USD 25-30 for 8-10 inches.

Big or small, bold or barely there, you’ve got the chance to test it out, and decide whether or not the love you feel for Tupac warrants walking around with this on your chest for all of eternity.

Momentary Ink founder Jordan Denny told Mashable:

“People are getting rid of these cookie-cutter tattoos and really getting into more meaningful, complex, often custom design[s]. It really calls for a thoughtful decision, and requires a lot more of a flexible tattoo process. We want to make it easier to visualize something much more powerful and meaningful to people before they get it done.”

Yes, meaningful. Also no more permanent typos.
