Nickelback are wanted in Queensland "for crimes against music".

They’ve been on the loose since the mid-nineties. Finally, law enforcement are stepping in.

Aaah Nickelback, the band the world loves to hate.

It seems like only yesterday some savvy, Gen Y upstart launched a crowd-funding campaign to have the Canadian rockers banned from ever playing another gig in London (it was in October).

With a measly 60 supporters the campaign failed, but it spoke to a global movement of haters, to a planet of Nickelback detractors left wondering: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHEN WILL THEY BE STOPPED?

More on this: Why does everyone hate Nickelback so much?

This week law enforcement officials finally stepped in. As the band headed to Brisbane for their “No Fixed Address Tour”, the Queensland Police Service said ‘enough’ and sent out this much needed warning to the public via social media.

Thanks, QPS Facebook page.

“Police are on the lookout for these men who are believed to be impersonating musicians around Boondall this evening,” the caption on the post read. “Avoid the area. It may be hazardous to your hearing and street cred.”

It is not the first time QPS have used their internet presence to protect the good people of Brisbane from an international musical act about to descend on their fair city. Remember when Drake came to town?

In all seriousness though, will Chad Kroger ever be stopped? We know our politicians aren’t going to do a thing.

Clearly, he is not fit for office.

It’s a relief to know the Queensland Police Service has our backs, but these criminals are still at large. So, please let this video remind you to stay alert until Nickelback are safely offshore.

Are you a Nickelback fan?
