Husband takes revenge on cheating wife by selling her wedding dress online.

UPDATE:

The story of a viral Gumtree post selling a cheating ex-wife’s wedding dress has taken an interesting turn.

Ashley Madison, an online dating service for people who want to cheat on their partners, has attempted to buy the dress and is offering to out-pay the highest bidder. They claim the sale is to be used as a warning to its members.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Telegraph the betrayed husband slammed Ashley Madison’s founder and CEO Noel Biderman saying,

“I won’t be selling the dress to him because he runs a site that condones extramarital affairs… The way they do things … goes against why you would marry someone in the first place.”

The dress is yet to sell, but the Daily Mail reports genuine offers of more than $500 have been made.

This is how you get someone to pay attention to you ad on Gumtree.

A Sydney-based user on Gumtree, identified only as Dan, has listed a wedding dress for sale. It’s a perfectly pretty, puffy, white wedding dress.

The dress in question.

But it’s the description that accompanies the photos, that is the reason this particular ad is going viral.

The ad starts with:

Due to be married soon? Not planning on staying faithful? Want to sleep with one of your soon-to-be husband’s closest friends? Then THIS is the wedding dress for you!

The rest of the ad continues in a similar fashion.

This stunning, tulle swathed, ivory bridal gown has a proven track record of producing an adulterous, deceitful, double-crossing and traitorous “soulmate”.

A one of a kind garment designed by Benedict Arnold, believed to be derived from the very cloth Judas Iscariot himself wore to the Garden of Gethsemane to betray the only son of God – Jesus Christ.

This harlot-sized ensemble will make you the envy of your trampish posse on your fraudulent wedding day.

As an added bonus, this dress gives you the “entitlement” to legally obtain over half of your husband-to-be’s worldly possessions.

The conclusion to the Gumtree a gives a hint at the current state of the marriage…

This dress is guaranteed to provide you with approximately two years of reasonable wedded mediocrity before the complete and utter disintegration of your relationship due to your extramarital promiscuity.

Cosmetically, the garment is in better condition than the marriage – not looking for much. Make an offer.

Since posting the ad yesterday, The Daily Telegraph have reported that the mysterious scorned man has been swamped with support – and even offers of dates.

If you are in the market for a wedding dress, it sounds like this one is going cheap.
