Shocker, Hero and Whinger of the week.

Welcome to Shocker, Hero and Whinger of the Week.

Here’s how it works: Each week, we pick the biggest Shocker, Hero and Whinger from the last seven days. Shocker is whatever moment or person left our jaws on the floor. Hero is whoever won the week by being awesome. And whinger? Well, that’s pretty much just someone who has had a major sooky-la-la moment. Let’s do this.

A sixteen-inch rat was caught in an unsuspecting Swedish family’s home this week.

That’s 39 FREAKING CENTIMETRES.

According to local news, the rat chewed its way through the floor and pretty much took over the kitchen; the family was too scared to go in there for a week. Apparently it became so comfortable and domesticated, it wasn’t even scared of people and set itself up in a pretty sweet position under the kitchen table.

Eventually the family called pest controllers, who set up traps and caught the epic ratzilla king of nightmares. Which is kind of sad, but the alternative was almost certainly a horrific death at the claws of a rat monster.

If you are committed to a TV show, you know how traumatising it is when someone gives away a massive plot point.

Everyone who has been complaining about this whole ‘Knights and Dames‘ business.

Don’t you realise that it means now some of our great Australians can get the recognition they deserve? Living in a country with Sir Vulcan from Gladiators and Dame Dame Edna… It just feels right.
