Pauline Hanson, political leader of One Nation, gave an impassioned interview on the Today show.
Interviewed by Lisa Wilkinson and Karl Stefanovic, Hanson stood strong amongst her Brisbane supporters.
The interview started with a blazing energy, first discussing election figures, and quickly intensified from there.
When asked by Wilkinson whether she had learnt anything throughout her 18 year career, Hanson replied passionately: “Hold on a minute, hold on a minute, have I learnt any lessons? You have got to be kidding, you have got to be kidding!”
“Hold on a minute has the Liberal, Labor, Nationals, Greens learnt anything?” she continued.
“I don’t need to listen to anything. I know what the people are thinking and how they’re feeling, so let’s get this country on track.”
The interview ended shortly after, prompting Stefanovic to chide Wilkinson with a sassy, “She learned you!”

Both of them ended up looking unintelligent. Basically if you think you know everything and you have nothing to learn then you shouldn't be in public office, that and the fact that if you genuinely hate blacks, Asians, Muslims then you are creating a breeding ground of resentment towards people who are judged not on their character but their racial or religious grouping. We are better than this. I won't celebrate her hate. Lisa should of asked a question that related to how the world has changed since she was last in politics and how her behaviour or policy reflects this. I would of liked to known from her (and others like her) why she feels she has the right to be another peoples country (she is not a First Nations person) and decide who is allowed to come here? On what basis is she making this decision.
I think Pauline's delivery is awful, and as an Asian woman, I had every reason to dislike her. Upon reading about what One Nation stands for, I found myself agreeing with some, yes SOME, of their views, far more so than Labor or the coalition. I think Halal certification does need to be further scrutinised. I think there's nothing wrong with putting Australian culture before others in our own country. I think our country is becoming ridiculously pc, to our detriment. I think a lot of people feel the same way about these issues, and I don't exactly fit the "old rich white guy" stereotype as I'm a young-ish, single mother, Asian female.
Brexit, the rise of Trump, Hansons reelection - whether you agree with any or all of these things, or not, it is clear that there are a lot of people out there that are unhappy with the status quo, and feel like nobody is listening to them. I hope governments begin to take the disillusioned seriously, it's about time.

Those people are just puppets on a string. The Murdoch press has done such a good job of brainwashing already vulnerable people. They have been played, here and in the UK, US. One of the richest men in the world, who could not care less about anyone but himself, and his media and nasty friends, have you fooled.
Although I don't take conservatives seriously at the best of times, one thing conservatives are very good at (i will give them that) is manipulating. Really awesome manipulators conservatives are, it's actually quite fascinating.
Those people are the majority, dismiss them if you wish but they have spoken, get on board or get used to the sour grape taste you're experiencing at the moment.
