Hi all, my husband and I started this company earlier this year after the birth of our baby Lucinda. We appeared on “mornings” channel 9 last week and literally just got home now from recording another birth. It is so wonderful to be part of that special moment and help capture it. Please check out of website http://www.smallstepscinematography.com.au and also find us on Facebook. Cheers, Rachel

I think they are all beautiful! Well done Pia and FreetoClaire you should feel proud in the memory you have captured for your children. Poo to all the haters. Let a mum-to-be express her excitement and cherish her time in participating in the miracle of creating new life for pete’s sake!

I love these, they’re very clever. I did something similar at uni when we were expecting bub number 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9C4eCsES_0&sns=em

Wow, thanks for the kind words!

I’m not particularly into this sort of thing myself, but they are pretty cool and the criticisms come across as pretty mean.

Agree!

Cool! The balloon blowing one was a clever idea. They make birth look ridiculously easy, though. If only!

Gorgeous! I don’t get the criticisms though. Whose to say they didn’t make it for their own family and friends? We’re just lucky enough to share their journeys with them too, in some small way. I’m not a mum, but I can still appreciate these, and I’m glad their parents decided to post them publicly. Fun!

I did a video like this when I was pregnant with my daughter. It was because I saw the one on pacingthepanicroom and I thought it was amazing. That was about two years ago, so I don’t think its a new thing.
this is mine if anyone is interested http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jwt78aUqBqM&list=UUu_E3ZIScjjggYvcOA17WDw&index=4&feature=plcp Bit longer than the ones on here though.
I did it to show her when shes older, maybe when she has kids of her own. Other than close family noone knows its there. To be honest, putting it together kept me entertained once I started maternity leave
Surprised there are so many negative comments on here already. Ive noticed where there are pregnant women or mothers publicly celebrating their kids, people think they need to be brought down a notch. Its a shame.

That’s lovely FreetoClaire!!! Just lovely.

I think these are great. It is good to have a happy memory to look back on. I can see many a one being shown at 21st birthday parties etc.

VERY CLEVER!

Oh god, this will be a laugh!! Wait till you see all the feral fruitflies with their filthy yobbo broods doing these! Haha!

What?! What sort of person says that Jane?!

Yawn! Just another case of the mummies all trying to outdo each other. It’s you having the baby – newsflash the rest of the world isn’t interested.

I don’t know them and I’m interested.

Cute. Fun. And why not?

I really hope this doesn’t become a competition. We are all happy for new parents, but unless it’s family, and not always when it’s family, it’s hard to attain and maintain the level of indulgence and attention some folk need.
Very sweet, but Dog help us if it becomes a thing. Imagine the industry it will “spawn”. Excuse that appalling pun.

Yup. Looks like it all belongs on STFU parents.
I know it’s exciting, but to quote Garfunkle and Oates ‘You’re just giving birth now, you’re not mother earth now’
