Do You Like This Story?

Equal parts freaky and I-can’t-take-my-eyes-off-this, the ad comes from the US Louisville Mayor’s Healthy Hometown initiative.

In an effort to encourage mothers to breastfeed, the commercial’s main effect has us shouting – “why add the teeth?”

Take a look…

I have never heard of these! I think it’s a shame they even exist really…and it looks a bit like you’re wearing a giant shopping bag.

Does the average American find that creepy or is their perception of plastic faces and bodies totally skewed.

    Ummm…creepy!

My guess is that it is an older kid’s mouth that is speaking and they have superimposed it on a baby’s face – hence the teeth.

Doesn’t make it any less creepy!

Only because they’re adult teeth! Plenty of women happily breastfeed children with mouths full of baby teeth :)

Junebug why did you feel the need to make that comment? I’m sure Jane was just making a regular statement about it, not wanting to get into a breastfeeding discussion. I find your comment preachy and inappropriate.

gemini_ness: the ad is about breastfeeding. That’s kind of the point. Junebug was also just stating a fact, actually.
