Do your kids' names "go together?"

The Duggar kids’ names go together. They all start with the letter J.

When you are pregnant with your first child, picking a baby name is quite the challenge. But eventually you get there.

What you probably didn’t think about though, is which names go with your firstborn’s name. And apparently, there are “rules” to picking siblings names (which we think everyone breaks every time). Here are some of the rules:

Number 1: Consider future sibling names when you are naming your first kid.

Number 2: Be careful of the Kardashian trap of alliteration – naming all your children with the same first letter. Because if you have more than 2 kids, you might find you are running out of names you like starting with… (we’re totally up for breaking that rule, see below).

Number 3: You don’t have to stick with a theme. You can mix it up, pair a traditional name with a nature name and a country name. But if you do want a theme, don’t have one child missing out on that theme.

Number 4: Be prepared for confusion with sibling unisex names. Wait, so your daughter is Riley and your son is Hayden?

Number 5: (And this goes for firstborns too.) Keep in mind nicknames.

Here are some of our favourite sibling combos. Many of which break all the rules above, and some of which are just downright funny. CLICK THROUGH to see them.
