I didn’t realise that it was a moisturiser for my face, I also followed the directions on the packaging and was moisturising body and hands. Good thing because I’ve just run out of my face moisturiser, I’ll give it a go from tommorow. I have sun spots on my shoulders and I haven’t noticed a difference but my skin is definitely looking and feeling moisturised.

I am just loving the feel of the Aveeno® Daily Moisturising Lotion. The smell is not overpowering so I don’t even notice it.
It compares extremely favourably to all the other products I have tried. I have noticed that my skin feels much more younger, with a much smoother complexion. It makes me feel like I am pampering myself each day.
Using the pump make application extremely easy, No need to open pack, squeeze out, then close lid with cream oozing everywhere. The pump also makes it easier to get the right amount each time. It gives my skin a luxuriously soft silky feel. I have been using it on my face, hands and legs, especially after hair removal. As it relieves all the itchiness, while moisturising.
I don’t have a problem with blotchy skin, so cannot comment on that, but I have had comments from close friends on the improvement in my face.
It’s been a great pleasure to trial Aveeno® Daily Moisturising Lotion. I am very impressed with Aveeno products and the beautifully presented package, which made me feel like I was receiving a present. Thank you!

No I haven’t noticed any change in colour of my skin, nor has anyone else!

I’ve been using this on my body, not my face…I’m not at the stage where I have sunspots or blemishes so haven’t noticed a difference. As my 8 year old is the only one who sees me naked no-one has commented on any changes to my skin! But once again, I will say that I have been happy with the product and would recommend it to others

Since the directions start off with \”Apply to hands or body…\” I also assumed it was intended primarily as a body moisturiser. It might need some repackaging, to be honest!
However, I still generally like the product. It makes my skin feel good – soft and moisturised – and it does absorb quickly. I haven’t noticed any difference to sunspots or brown spots, and no-one has commented on any difference in my skin either. But I feel good and that’s what matters.

Ah ha ha ha ha, after receiving the email from Natalia asking me to comment on the Aveeno product, and doing the survey, I now realise that it’s a facial moisturiser! Just goes to show how much attention I pay to packaging – I didn’t actually read the front at all, and as I already had a facial moisturiser, I’ve been using it on my body only. Now I’ll have to use it on my face and see what I think. I really like it on my very dry arms and legs!!

I can’t say I’ve noticed changes to my skin tone since using Aveeno, and no-one has commented on it, however my skin continues to feel soft and lovely throughout the day – more so than any other moisturiser I’ve noticed. I’m sticking with it!

I love how thick and creamy this feels!

unfortunately no changes to brown spots or skin tone, which was what I was hoping for as I am quite prone to sunspots. my skin feels more moisturised but doesnt really look any different.

I haven’t noticed any changes to my skin tone. I don’t have any brown blotches so can not comment on those.
Sadly, no one has made a comment on my skin looking or feeling better – must get some more observant friends!!

Friends and family have definitely noticed the changes in how my skin feels; much smoother and softer!

The tone of my skin hasnt changed but it does feel a lot more hydrated.

I would LOVE to see if it does anything for evening out skin tone, as I am prone to sun spots and the odd blemish. But just coming out of a severe liver problem, my skin has been the wrong colour all over for 2+ weeks out of the last 4. Sorry I can’t comment on that aspect at this point!

I do have quite a few brown spots and they are still there but my skin does feel smoother and less dry. It also soaks in to the skin quickly which is great.

i had forgotten how bad my skin is in winter, so dry and wrinkly. i have made a real effort to use this each day and can say my skin is smoother, less wrinkly and softer. i can’t say that anyone has noticed but i certainly have!
as has been said below the moisturiser is easy to use and it soaks straight into the skin so you don’t have that sticky feeling you often get after using them.

I actually haven’t noticed a difference in the colour of my skin, hadn’t ever really had blotches or brown spots. My husband is the only one who MIGHT notice the change but he never notices anything!

i feel my skin is soft and supple. friends told that my skin has improved a lot and they want to know what changes i have made for skin care regimen.after using aveeno for these time would recommend to everone

I can now highly recommend the moisturising lotion & also the wash. The thing I like most about both is that they are both really pleasant to use, no overpowering smells, natural looking packaging, really easy to use, and are kind to my sensitive skin. I particularly love the wash as it lathers and has a light, fresh feel and smell to it. Will be buying again when I run out!

I do not have blotchy skin..but I have noticed my skin is feeling much smoother….

My skin isn’t blotchy but it certainly doesn’t look like we are in the middle of winter either. It is not dry and this is a welcome change. It really has protected my hands the most from the worst winter dry spots and for this I am so grateful.

I don’t have blotchy skin either, however I have been using it on my 2yo daughter’s skin and she has olive skin thatis prone to mild excema and when dry or scarred does discolour and her skin tone has definitely improved…

I don’t have blotchy skin, so I can’t say I have noticed any difference there. I do have very dry & sensitive skin wich has definitely benefited from daily use of the Aveeno moisturising lotion.

This lotion is great! The tone of my skin is less blotchy, however I did not have any brown spots, so have seen no effect there. Well done on a great product Aveeno!

I really like the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion. My skin feels much smoother and softer and a more even tone. I especially like the fact that my skin does not feel sticky after applying it.

I am just LOVING Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion and the skin wash – especially with this particularly cold weather we’ve been having up here in Brissie! It feels like my skin has been given a protective coating and any dryness I have from this crazy weather disappears.. The product applies well and is absorbed reasonably quickly. There is no strong smell, just a fresh, slightly nutty aroma. The moisturiser feels quite decadent – I think I am getting a little addicted to it…

All hail Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion!!
Let me first tell you that my dry skin is a direct result of cold Melbourne weather — I am guilty of trying to warm myself up with super hot showers – Yes Yes they’re bad for your skin –I know — but I NEED them! So when the Aveeno Moisturising Lotion arrived on my doorstep my skin was quite literally ready to slurp it up.
The Verdict –
I love it. The lotion is easy to apply and it leaves my skin feeling soft. For the first few seconds it is slightly sticky before it’s fully absorbed. The lotion doesn’t have a strong fragrance (which is a huge plus for me) and my skin no longer feels dry and flaky but is back to feeling like it should.

I have almost always used an unscented sorbolene cream but I think Aveeno may be my new favourite….rubbed in quickly without feeling heavy and the smell doesn’t give me a headache! My daughter has psoriasis and has been trying Aveeno as well without any adverse reaction.

Very easy to apply..Love the way it makes my skin feel…especially as I have spent the last few days cleaning my house ready to move out…
I am going to check out some other Aveeno products…..

I have been using the same moisturiser for the last 8 years so it has been a change for me to use Aveeno. The main difference is the smell. Although Aveeno has a pleasant smell, I am probably just used to the delicious nutty smell of my current moisturiser. Although the good thing about Aveeno is that it does not clash with any of the perfumes that I own as it is a subtle smell. Apart from that, Aveeno is probably very similiar in its application but I have noted that it does absorb more readily. I have extremely dry sensitive skin. I have had no reaction. There has not been any change to my skin as I usually moisturise every day.

I liked the moisturiser, particularly the fact that it rubbed in quickly. I didn’t notice any fragrance. I also liked using the the pump with no sticky bits left at the end like some other products. Haven’t used Aveeno before but would certainly look for it in the future.

I have loved using the Aveeno moisturiser. It smells beautiful, sinks in quickly but amazingly keeps the skin moist and soft all day. I was so impressed that I actually went and bough the other Aveeno skin products to compliment this moisturiser. Also I have been using this on my daughter’s very dry and sensitive skin and it’s been wonderful for her.

Aveeno feels lovely on the skin, it has a unique silky effect without being sticky. You can really feel it working, almost like a barrier without feeling like a barrier cream.

This has to be one of the best moisturisers I have tried. I usually stick to sorbolene cream but this is so much better. I dont feel like I have a \”coating\” of cream on my body, it sinks right in and lasts for days. Other creams (including sorbolene) leave me feeling like it just sits on top.
I usually get horribly itchy and almost scaly type skin on my legs in winter. But not this winter! I have no itchy skin at all. It is easy to apply and I havent really noticed any smell which is great.

Thank you for sending this through! I love the pump dispenser of the bottle, but found the smell a bit ‘weird’. Also, I found that the moisturiser spread very well (didn’t need to use a lot) however did not absorb very well and felt sticky on my skin.

I’ve always wanted to use a moisturiser, but never did Getting this product has inspired me to actually use it and I’m actually liking it. I like the way it smells, I like that I get a little bit more time just for me, by slathering myself in moisturiser. My elbows feel heaps better too

Aveeno is so easy to apply and the pump pack makes it easy to use if you are in a hurry. Which most of the time I am. It feels really smooth on my skin with just a nice residue that makes my skin more supple and not so dry in the middle of winter. No more SJP hands! And the smell is just a little like a baby product, which I find really nice.

readily absorbed would be the first thing that comes to mind when describing this. no feeling of oiliness on the surface. really soft and lovely, would recommend and will also continue to buy, as i did the body wash.

Definitely love the fact that it is in a pump-action bottle. I half expected bits of oatmeal to be through it (actually that could make a nice scrub!) but it is nice and smooth. It doesn’t feel greasy at all, but I never use heaps at a time.

The lotion is very easy to apply and is absorbed very quickly, which is very handy!
Once applied, it feels nice and soft and very touchable!!

For some reason I’ve just received the link to this, so am answering all the questions…
I’ve been enjoying this Moisturising Lotion. It’s a really nice consistency that goes on smoothly – you don’t need a lot, it absorbs very effectively and has a nice moisturising effect that lasts a long time. I like the pump pack – it delivers a good sized blob – not too big, which some pump packs do. I’d rather pump a couple of times than get overwhelmed per pump.
The effect does seem to \”build up\” a bit too – that is, after using it for a few days the moisturising effect seemed to last longer – ie my skin didn’t start to feel dry again till much later in the day.
Compared to other products – well, I try to use chemical free products where I can, and the list of ingredients suggest there are a few chemicals in here. I’m not allergic to anything, it’s just a general well being issue for me. So on that basis I’m not 100% happy with this (or the skin wash). But if I ignore that, then this is certainly up there with other good products. Probably not a top of the line splash out moment, but a good effective moisturiser that I could use every day. It’s unscented so that works when I’m using some perfumes; there are times when I prefer a scented moisturiser.
loading...
Answering questions 2 & 3 becaue I’ve been lazy….Aveeno moisturiser compares well with other products I’ve used in the past in terms of moisture, but I do prefer something will a scent- like cocoa butter. I hated the scent of the shower gel (fragrance-free, but smells yuck) and found it didn’t lather well, I couldn’t shave my legs or underarms using it.
I find the lotion really easy to apply, it blends in quickly, isn’t sticky or greasy on the skin and doesn’t take ages to ‘go in’ so you can get dressed straight away- important in winter in Tassie!!!!

First take on the moisturiser is \”oh, it’s thicker, lusher, more emolient, not as much needed\”. Hmmmm, it feels good, absorbs quickly, with a ‘protective’ feel/film to it. See how it goes for a couple of weeks.
First take on the body wash is that it lathers up nicely. It lathers… ohhhh….. no ingredients listed in the trial size so I’m thinking it might have sodium laureth sulfate in it – not going to use this until I suss that out more (later googling that it does have Sodium Laureth Sulfate in it, so I can’t use this at all).
Second week’s take on the moisturiser is reassuring – my skin feels loved from one end of the day to the other. Promising…
Third week on and I’m more reassured as my skin’s feeling like it’s got the water/moisture-residue maintained in it, it’s not drying out (even in this change of seasons – my skin feels quite protected against the elements), and I’ve no reaction to it: which is a great intro to Aveeno Daily Mositurising.
Background: For someone who’s had a lifetime (yes, lifetime: 40+ year) history of allergies and excema, and later diagnosed with severe food allergies (salicylates, amines and glutamates), my dermatologist 20 years ago had me bathing w oats-in-stocking compresses. Terribly messy – to say the least – and a tendiously labour-intensive process for a ‘simple shower’. Not least leaning up. The constant reminder of the milky residue permanently in my shower and basin just exasperated me. I persisted – for years – but eventually tired, wishing I’d been blessed with something, anything, that hadn’t affected that part of me that I externalize to the world – my skin. As a woman, we’re already judged about how we ‘present’ ourselves, as much if not more so via our complexion. And it’s assumed in the wider world that if our skin’s not flawless, then something’s intrinsically wrong with us. I took this ever-so-personally and tried everything – and I mean EVERYTHING – to compensate for my apparent lack of genetics or whatever it was that meant I had this lifetime’s labour-intensive affliction ahead of me. Anything natural was recommended by everyone and anyone – that should, would, could calm, reduce, moisturise, and feed (a normal person’s) sensitive skin. But alas, alack, my skin wasn’t ‘normal’. And my skin wasn’t the only thing that needed semblance, my bathroom needed it too.
A blessing in disguise, in a very-roundabout-way, from being hospitalised for (previously-diagnosed, but this time, the severest) anaphylaxis (sneaky cashews in a dip, of all places), and everything being ‘as meant to be’ saw me swiftly admitted emergency which later resulted in me working with The Allergists of Allergists here in Australia – Drs Loblay & Souter. Being an adult anaphylaxis sufferer (now more common, but one in a million from in my childhood), they were VERY interested in my lifetime history. Particularly in my skin. Lovely being a research subject for a couple a brainiac specialist medicos
But they really understood what and how this lifetime’s history was triggered by a number of environmental factors – not poor genes. They tied my whole immune system – skin included – into a re-adjustment project of everything from my diet to what little ‘beauty regimes’ I’d had, into one HUGE holistic future focus for me: OATS
Here we go again thought I.
But no, winding back everything so as to calm it all down, they suggested a couple of products (this was pre-Aveeno on the pharmacy shelf days). I was relieved to find bath/shower, moisturising, shampoo and conditioning product that were apparently made just for me.
Five years on and my skin glows, so here I am as a very fickle consumer trying another product for my child-like delicate highly sensitive skin… and loving it!

I love the pump pack I find that really easy to use. Compared to my regular moisturiser (clean and clear), I like it but I am not sure I would switch. To me it does feel greasy, but then I am used to using an oil free, no sunscreen moisturiser and perhaps I just need to get used to it.

love the smell and feel. it sinks right in and not greasy at all.

I’ve been using the Aveeno products on my baby for a while now and was already a fan when the gorgeously packaged Aveeno packaged arrived. I’m always up for a new shower gel that actually does what is says, moisturises and cleans. This combined with the moisturiser afterward definately makes my skin feel softer, almost silky, like there is this layer of soft that was not there before. I’m not a fan of the shower gel smell (like soap) or consistancy, mine felt a bit gluggy but it worked and lathered fine, a little bit going a long way. I’m not really much of a body moisturiser consumer as i’ve been using oils to moisturise my body for the last few years as i find it quicker and easier but this was definately worth the extra minute or two after the shower as it absorbs into the skin well and did not feel greasy at all. It won’t make me stop using my body oil (as i really like the smell and easability) but I will keep continuing with the moisturiser as well and interchange regularly. Thankyou for the opportunity to try this, I purchased the facial cleanser scrub and moisturiser after reading the mamamia comments so as a consumer I think this feedback really helps.

I couldn’t believe it when the surprise arrived a the door. i suffer from dry skin in winter and oily skin in summer. So far its been great. I love that its not greasy and not too thick. I am new to the shower gel thing (I’m a soap user from way back) but what I haven’t dropped has been great. Lovely and smooth.

I find that the daily lotionis very easily absorbed and I like how soft my skin fels afterwards. It also has helped alleviate that winter itchy skin feeling we all get. I really love the body wash though, it lathers beautifully and leeaves my skin feeling very soft.

I really like that it is quite a smooth lotion, light and doesn’t feel greasy at all. What I really love is that it’s not highly perfumed at all.

The product is cream is easily applied- goes straight into the skin, with out feeling like a film is sitting on the surface. Smell is light. I have dry skin and since using this it has improved. Packaging great- pump easy and no mess.
Thank you !
