I seriously just about died. I never put makeup on in the car but i see many that do, but unfortunately I see many other things that freak me out. People eating cereal from bowls, reading papers and books and the obvious mobile phones and texting. Seriously folks when you’re in the car driving JUST DO THAT, NOTHING ELSE! It doesn’t seem like that would be too much to ask for. I like being alive and hope to do it for as long as i can

Nope – never have and never will. I don’t even bother with taking hands free phone calls as it’s way too distracting. There’s an intersection close to my home – it’s a RTA blackspot (no lights and a selection of giveway and stop signs. I almost get run over every time I cross there. The culprits are generally Mummies with a phone to their ear and kids in the back.

I cannot fathom why anyone would apply make up, talk on a phone, smoke or do anything other than just damn well drive when behind the wheel of a car.
But I know they do.
Seriously, I don’t think most people would consider applying mascara If they had a gun in their hand – no, most people would probably feel it was appropriate to concentrate on making sure the gun remained on safety… A car is no different – it’s a potentially lethal weapon.
Top ad and a timely reminder to your readers to stop doing something that stupid if they were stupid enough to do it in the first place MM.

Bad timing for me, though: I was struck by a car (whilst on foot) by a car just two days ago. No bones broken, thankfully, but horribly shocked. Even when in a ‘safe place’ – carpark @ front of local supermarket, even walking close to the parked cars, even seeing the car coming, I got hit.
