Update:

Police have formally identified a body as that of missing 16-year-old Taylor Almond.

The teenager went missing from her family home in in Dudley, southern Newcastle, on October 12.

Last Thursday, police found a body at the bottom of a cliff in Awabakil Nature Reserve at Dudley. The Daily Telegraph reports nail polish found on the body helped identify the teenager, who was formally  identified on Tuesday.

Police say they are not treating the death as suspicious, the Daily Mail reports.

Police have renewed pleas for information to find missing NSW teen Taylor Almond, 16, who has been missing for 11 days.

Taylor disappeared from her home in Dudley, southern Newcastle, at about 1:00pm on Sunday 12 October 2014.

Taylor was recently spotted in the Kotara, Adamstown and Newcastle Beach area, 9News reports, and police now believe she may have travelled as far as Kempsey on NSW’s mid-north coast.

Taylor is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160cm to 170cm tall with a slim build, long blonde hair and blue eyes.

She was last seen wearing a white sleeveless shirt and blue denim shorts.

Her family and police are concerned for her safety, saying her disappearance is out of character, according to news.com.au.

Taylor’s last post on Facebook, on October 8, reads: “Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.”

In another caption accompanying a photo posted to Facebook in mid-September, Taylor wrote: “Happiness is a choice. You can choose to be happy. There’s going to be stress in life, but it’s your choice whether you let it affect you or not.”
