Bondi Bashing Victim wakes from Coma

Twenty three year-old Michael McEwen has woken up from an induced coma after he was bashed in the Sydney suburb of Bondi a week ago. McEwen was placed in an induced Coma at St Vincents hospital after being punched and kicked to the ground by three males. His father Robert took to social media yesterday afternoon to announce that his son had woken up, calling it ‘The happiest day of my life, Michael put his arms out to me’.

The 23 year old is in a critical but stable condition and is expected to stay in hospital until further notice.

Brisbane Man arrested in International crackdown over ‘Silk Road’

Forty year-old Brisbane Man Peter Nash has been arrested by International Police after it was allegedly revealed that he helped run online drug and hacking site Silk Road. The news comes after an American man and an Irish man were arrested for their involvement.

A twenty three year-old Thai man has drowned off Maroubra beach in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs overnight. Police pulled the man from the water after 1.30 am, however they could not resuscitate him

Pope tells Church Officials not to gossip.

In his first address to the Catholic Church Government at the Vatican, Pope Francis has warned Church officials not to “drift downwards towards mediocrity…gossip and bureaucratic squabbling”.

“Professionalism, by which I mean competence, study, keeping abreast of things… is a basic requisite for working in the Curia,” he said.
