1. Yesterday Mamamia reported that Melbourne teenager Alexander Jones, 19, had died after shielding his sister from a collapsing wall on Swanston Street on Friday.
Tragically, his 18-year-old sister Bridget has died in hospital three days later.
The parents of the teenagers, Ian and Sue, said that they were “overwhelmed” and issued thanks to the people who had tried to help their children. They said in a statement, “We understand people who were passing by and the emergency services did everything that they could and we are so grateful these people tried their best for our children.”

News.com.au reports that because Thomas retained female reproductive organs, the judge is unsure if Thomas and Nancy and Beatie’s nine-year marriage is a same-sex marriage – which is an unrecognised institution in Arizona.
3. 1500 tourists were evacuated from Paris’ most iconic monument, the Eiffel Tower, yesterday after an anonymous bomb threat. A police inspection found no suspicious objects, and the tower was reopened a few hours later.

Hearing of Bridget's death broke my heart a little. Two absolutely innocent siblings, in the wrong place at the wrong time. My heart goes out to their parents. Makes me want to cry.
Feel so incredibly sad for the Jones. Losing both their children at once. Such devastation.
