Six men have been arrested over an alleged plot to kill the Prince of Wales and his wife Camilla.

The Irish Daily Mirror reports that two men in their 20s were found with improvised bombs and a handgun in their possession last night in Louth, Wexford and Dublin, as police swept 20 locations across the country.

Six men, all aged between 21 and 62, were arrested last night and are being held at various different police stations across the country.

The Irish Daily Mirror reports they all have close links to both the Continuity and Real IRA, two Irish paramilitary groups designated terrorist organisations by the UK and the US.
