2. Hillary Clinton just got more awesome. Video footage has emerged of her angrily responding to Republican allegations that the Obama administration had deliberately withheld the truth about a deadly attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Following a series of quite hostile questions, the Secretary of State said: “With all due respect, the fact is, we had four dead Americans… Was it because of a protest, or because of guys out for a walk one night who decided to go kill some Americans?”
3. Lance Armstrong’s fromer fiance Sheryl Crow has spoken briefly about the disgraced cyclist’s doping habits during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. The 50-year-old singer said that she only saw “bits and pieces” of Armstrong’s candid interview with Oprah last week. “To carry around a weight like that would be devastating in the long run,” she said.

I admire and really respect Hilary Clinton but I do not think she came across well here. She seems flustered and is not handling some very important questions well. A lot of posturing and grandstanding and a lot of avoiding the questions. Saying it doesn’t make a difference? i think is terrible and i do not believe she could actually believe this. Of course it makes a difference and i think she sounds glib and imagine that quote will be used against her in the future.

I adore Hilary Clinton but I actually don’t think she handled the questioning that well here. I think her comment saying it made no difference whether they lied about the cause of these deaths being related to the protests or not is sad. I think it does matter & saying it matters less now & belittling the question of misleading the public & implying blame on protestors when it seems it was most likely an unrelated act of terrorism does not actually sit well with me. There were obviously some sever systematic failures in this situation which is also the conclusion of the Independent Accountability Review Board. That said I do still admire Hilary Clinton just not for these comments.

Lol about the item om chicklit affecting body image. Maybe it’s because the reader is eating chocolate or drinking white wine while reading? Guilty as charged

I fully agree about the cat issues. Just because we love them, and they make such wonderful pets we forget that they are pretty efficient predators. Surely if someone wants a pet they are responsible for keeping it.
Many places now are demanding higher levels of “looking after” of dogs, i feel that the same should happen with cats. I would never allow my love of cats to be foisted on my neighbours

Guys, what’s happened to the “recent comments” on the right hand side? It’s really annoying to have to go through every story – I think the little preview of people’s comments is better to see what is popular and who has been commenting.

Oh Hillary. The more I see of her the more I love her. What a West Wing moment. *Blissful sigh.*

Hillary Clinton is horrible at what she does like the rest of the Obama administration. I agree that it is the lesser of the two evils in America, but the government is a daily human rights violator.
AND YES, I’m a Middle Eastern man. So you now have an option of calling a misogynist OR a terrorist. I’m used to it.

Go Sloane! Go! Aside from Federer’s pink shoes, she’s been my favourite of the Aus Open this year.
