So Tony Abbott isn’t allowed to quote Bill Clinton? Mia has used that very phrase on this site before – without referencing Clinton. Abbott was using it in, what was at the time, a private conversation with a staffer which hardly means he needed to provide full references!

That country needs to “clean up it’s act” when it comes to the treatment of women.

Let’s hope that she’s now in a “country of safety” and is able to continue being a little girl pursuing an education.

Suss, I think there is an element of truth to your comment. In that putting career first is not a good way to fall pregnant. But there are many other factors. I think that she, like many women, sounds torn between duty and desire for family. There are also lots of factors in ones’ personal life that can make starting a family difficult. Husband for starters!! But I don’t doubt that she is telling the truth when she says how heartbreaking she has found it and that he is genuinely supportive of women and what they are experiencing.
