Melissa George 380x268 Melissa George to Australia: I need you to be quiet.

Melissa George on the Morning Show.

Remember this if you’re ever interviewing Melissa George: don’t ask her any questions about Home and Away.

The Australian actress (who is now a US citizen) reportedly had a meltdown on Channel 7′s The Morning Show last week when they played a clip of her from her time on Home & Away.

According to news reports today:

CHANNEL 7 spoke out yesterday about a tirade unleashed by former Home And Away castmember Melissa George, who threw a hissy fit on Friday’s The Morning Show because the segment referenced her days at Summer Bay.

The brekkie newsroom was still reeling from the outburst yesterday, which witnesses described as “erratic” and “unbelievable”, as the Aussie actress threatened to walk off the set if hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies made mention of the character that made her a star, Angel Parrish.

“She kept saying she’s had so many bigger roles since Home And Away that it was offensive to talk about it – she even said she’d send Seven an invoice because she inadvertently promotes it through the media,” an insider said.

Angel and Shane Melissa George to Australia: I need you to be quiet.

Melissa George in Home and Away

The program’s executive producer Sarah Stinson, said she originally thought the meltdown was a prank.

“At first I thought I was being Punk’d because it seemed so surreal,” she told Confidential. “We’re genuinely proud of Melissa’s achievements, she’s done a lot of great work, and I didn’t realise she had such an issue with her roots.”

“Most of our guests are usually proud to embrace where they’ve come from and we never would have done anything to purposely upset her.”

You can’t see what went on behind the scenes but watch how frosty Melissa George is when they come back from the Home & Away clip. Awkward.

Sure, it’s been 16 years since Melissa played the character of Angel Parrish on the soap – and since then she’s moved on to roles in Friends, Grey’s Anatomy and Alias.  But, naturally, her former role comes up in interviews – especially when she’s in Australia.

Is it really something to be so ashamed of?

In a subsequent interview, Melissa went into surprising detail about why she was reportedly “offended” when The Morning Show’s Larry and Kylie mentioned H&A and why she threatened to walk out:

“I don’t need credibility from my country any more, I just need them all to be quiet,” she said. “If they have nothing intelligent to say, please don’t speak to me any more. I’d rather be having a croissant and an espresso in Paris or walking my French bulldog in New York City.

“I’ve never spoken out about it because I have to be the loyal good Aussie, who goes away and comes home.

“But I’m a really hard-working woman and people have to respect me for what I’ve done … my next call will be to Home And Away to ask them to pay me because nobody does more promotion for that f … ing show than me.”

Australian expat and Mamamia contributor, Kirsty Rice feels Melissa’s pain. Today she has written in defence of Melissa’s comments (and Melissa has even tweeted a link to Kirsty’s story, saying “This lady has said it all”).

Kirsty writes:

Kirsty Rice1 290x385 Melissa George to Australia: I need you to be quiet.

Kirsty Rice

A girlfriend of mine was telling me the story of a mutual friend’s return to Adelaide. After a nine year break from the city of churches and serial killers, she returned to her old work place. In the time she’d been away she’d travelled extensively overseas, become a mother, and tried her hand at a few different roles. She was a little surprised on her first day back, when an old colleague asked if she’d been on holiday because she hadn’t seen her for awhile.

“Did you have a good holiday?”

She’d been gone for nine years.

On a recent trip back to my hometown, I made a stop at the dry cleaner in the town next door. A business I had once visited on a weekly basis for about two years.

“G’day Kirsty – haven’t seen you for awhile” said the same beaming man I’d remembered from twelve years earlier. ”Are you still working at the radio station?”

I had to think about it for a minute. I’d erased that part of my life from my mind (let’s just say it wasn’t a career highlight).

“No, I moved, I don’t live here anymore”

“Where’d ya go? Back to Adelaide?”

I could have just said yes, and got on with the day, it had been thirteen years since my previous visit, and it was possible it would be another thirteen before I returned – but I couldn’t. It felt dishonest to the new life not to acknowledge how much it had changed from the old one. It wasn’t just that I felt I wanted to tell him, I needed to tell him. Everything was different, it was a fib to pretend it wasn’t.

I told him about how I’d fallen in love and then taken off on an adventure. I opened my wallet to show him a picture of the little travellers, and talked about where they’d been born and where they were now. I explained I’d had some time off but then returned to work. Within a couple of minutes I’d almost erased the single girl who arrived rushed every Friday afternoon to pick up her party clothes for the weekend, and penciled in the new mother of four, living in the desert. Ta da, that’s what I look like now.

Thankfully, he seemed interested. He listened, said he was happy for me and then filled me in on his news. I don’t know if he really cared, but it felt nice that he appeared to be happy for me.

A story about Melissa George rolled through my facebook feed this morning. I read a few “who does she think she is” comments before getting the gist. Melissa who is now 36, according to the piece, “chucked a hissy fit” about being asked about a role she played in an Australian soap 16 years ago. A role the article tells me “made her a star”.

These are the tweets Melissa sent after the show.

I don’t know Melissa George personally, and I was never a Home and Away viewer, but I did love her recent performance in The Slap. I can’t really remember her as Ross and Rachel’s nanny on Friends and I don’t watch Alias, nor Grey’s Anatomy, but I would imagine all of these events would have had her pretty excited out about how much her life and career has changed. And I’m guessing the nomination for a Golden Globe for her role in “In Treatment” may have been one of the highlights.

A quick Youtube search of Melissa will show you she has happily answered her fair share of Home and Away questions (it’s usually question one or two in any Aussie interview) – so why did it get up her bum so much this time? Why doesn’t she want to go back and revisit a job she had 16 years ago, answer the same questions, laugh at the same old pictures?

Maybe she’s just moved on?

Maybe, it’s time everyone else did too.

Melissa who? Never heard of you sweety. You don’t need credibility from Australia and Australia doesn’t give you credibility, the majority of us have no idea who you are. You aren’t exactly Kylie Minogue or Heath Ledger status and personally I don’t remember you becoming famous from home and away.

You aren’t an A,B or even C list celebrity like Kylie or Nicole over sea’s.
You aren’t even A list in Australia. Australia never did talk about you so it has no reason to ‘Shut up’ . I suggest you go and pull your career out of the dumpster and go revive it on Dr Phil or something, not that they will have you , you are no more famous then the check out girls at coles or the McDonalds drive through chick. That is all.

Although I can see many people have jumped on the ‘bash the person who said something ‘unaustralian’ bandwagon’, I think I can understand where Melissa was coming from. Home and Away is a dreadfully crap show, always has been. I don’t really subscribed to the thought that because it’s Australian it must be awesome. It’s simply not. It seems to me that in the scope of all the work that Melissa has done her work on Home and Away is probably her worst and she has come a long way and worked very hard to be the brilliant actress she is today. How would anybody feel if every time you came to talk about the new work you have done (in whatever field you work) people brought up the crappiest piece of work you ever did? I know that I would hate it. I would also hate my employer at that time taking continual credit for my success in spite of 20 further years of blood sweat and tears that had nothing to do with them. I think Melissa is perfectly entitled to be upset and that much of the reaction by the public stems from the insecurity in the Australian psyche that we are not good enough.

Thanks Kirsty for your comment about Adelaide being the ‘city of churches and serial killers’ very classy.
I think you should recognise how condescending and insulting that sounds.
Adelaide is actually the city of fantastic food, wine regions and beautiful beaches amongst other things.
An actually what did you do that was so amazing while you were away apart from have 4 children and traipse around the world. Big deal. Put your manners back in or say nothing.

      Hi Sarah in Adelaide,

I’m also from Adelaide, and fiercely proud of it. I’m actually in Adelaide right now. The comment was made very tongue in cheek, and I apologize if it offended you. Please be assured that while I have been away “traipsing around the world”, I was promoting South Australia’s fantastic wine and food while talking about the Murray (where I grew up). Adelaide is my home, and I love it, trust me, I’ve spent years counting the sleeps until I get back here. Thanks for your comment, it’s definitely given me something to think about this evening.

I recall an interview on the Graham Norton show when he was interviewing Heath Ledger, Graham was taking the piss out of him because he pashed Sally on Home and away many years ago, Heath was laughing and was almost proud of the fact that his roots were planted on Australian TV. Granted he understood that the acting was ordinary at best, but it came across that he acknowledged his past and that it was the beginning of his story. Melissa George has obviously lost one thing from moving overseas and that is CLASS!

It’s all cultural cringe brought on by insecurity. She is embarressed of her heritage and wants to divorce herself from it. If that’s the case then she should just do it. Come back and visit her family but not do any films/TV and not do any interviews. She should really just become an American.

I also cannot fathom how insecure, not only George is, but Kirsty that they are offended when someone asks them about their past?? I’d seek som therapy if I were you. Personally I couldn’t give a damn if people ask me about my past.

Also, her statements about Australia were truly offensive. She really should just completely disassociated herself with Australia for good if that’s the way she really feels. She seems like a truly aweful person.

LYoung, I don’t mind if people ask me about my past. My point was that when you move away, often the person you were when you left, is what stays behind. I’m from a small country town, believe me, there is no escaping my past, but possibly because I’m a bit of an over sharer, I probably take a bit too much time filling in the gaps.

The clip above doesn’t seem awkward to me at all, they seem all quite friendly. Just because she was frustrated and annoyed by the home and away references and stood up for herself doesn’t mean she’s a nasty person. We’ve all been frustrated an annoyed about things before and I know that doesn’t make me a nasty person. The implication is that she’s become too big for her boots, but I think good on her for being assertive.

Oh, my heart goes out to Melissa. Sometimes our past, which was all we knew at the time, becomes a weighted chain around our ankles. I come from a small town, and I don’t live there any more, from choice. I haven’t for nearly 30 years. I love the place and the people, but you have to live life NOW. Yes, it’s factually correct that I was born and raised in that place, but it isn’t true that the roots of who I am, established in that place, can be credited with the person I have become. Much of what I experienced back in that little place was painful – bullying, taunting, misunderstanding. I never fitted. But it’s all the townsfolk know of me, so that’s the only way they can relate to me when I return. I try to meet them at that place of memory that allows us to establish a reference point, but a line from Madagascar always rings in my ears: “Smile and wave, boys, smile and wave!” Really, it’s all that Melissa, Kirsty, myself, or anybody else who chooses to move on can do when we make an appearance in a place that is part of their history. Smile and wave, folks, smile and wave!

Lets face it, most people in Australia still have no clue who she is! Her fame has not caught up with her ego yet and perhaps that bothers her. There are much better known actors in Australia such as Toni Collette, Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman who probably internally cringe at questions about their roots…but they have the humility and humour to answer without chucking hissy fits and they maintain their dignity. I think what some of us are forgetting here is that we are a new culture in Australia and the Tall Poppy Syndrom has evolved I believe….we no longer shun those who celebrate their sucesses…we celebrate alongside them…but we do ask that people never forget where they came from…and that kind of person is the one Aussies look up to….a person MG clearly is not. P.S. I would rather be walking my bitzer on Sydney Harbour sipping a chai latte right now!!

I agree with Melissa and subsequently with Kirsty. When I see some of the wrap up of Aussie actors/actresses on a show, I just think it’s so boring that they keep mentioning their roots, even though often it’s not even the place they began their acting career. And how about just mentioning it for a super short moment and then move on, but no half the story and scenes are from this show from 20 years ago.

Is this not just Australia’s way of saying we’re so proud that you cut your acting teeth in Oz with us in an ongoing locally successful show to then continue on to international success. This is our way that we continue to connect with our international stars. Acknowledge the past and the springboard it gave you to international success along with your hardwork and effort. We all had to start somewhere!

Demi Moore started out on some lame american soap opera, do you think she would be pleased if every time she was interviewed in her country they brought out footage of her in her old soapie role 20 years earlier with big hair and bad make-up?

I understand where Melissa is coming from, we are so proud of Home & Away cos it is Aussie, but it’s just a crap soap opera and no big achievement when you are on the world stage, she doesn’t want to be remembered for that. She has gone onto bigger and better things.

The story should be “Wow, you actually made it after starting out on a crap Australian soap, good on you!” That beginning is something to overcome an obstacle to international success.

Soap Opera’s often have very bad acting, scripts and dodgy plot lines and they don’t have credibility amongst real, serious actors. Shut up about Home & Away, it’s a joke!

It was footage of everything she had done. There was a small part of H&A on it because like it or not she was on H&A! It was her launching pad! So many successful Australian actors started in Aussie Soaps but they don’t disregard it. It is a part of their “whole package”. She just has to accept it and get over it and get over herself. I remember a few years ago she was carrying on about how she barely remembers H&A and she couldn’t remember her characters name. Maybe something bad happened to her on at that time because she seems to have a serious dislike for her time on H&A. She also needs to realise she isn’t tall enough to be a victim of tall poppy syndrome.

To be honest, I’d never head of Melissa George before I’d read this article. Obviously I don’t know her personally and I’ve never watched one of the shows she was listed in this article as appearing in. I therefore have no insight into her career or what she is like as a person.

That said, based on what I’ve read here, she seems like she has really become a horribly snobby and pretentious person since she left Australia.

We have many international stars whose roots were in Australia (Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Geoffrey Rush, Russel Crowe, the list goes on) who have, for the most part, been very humbled and down to earth in interviews. I have seen them nostalgic about their beginnings in Australia.

Even our younger stars who are popping up on the international radar such asSam Worthington, Chris and Liam Hemsworth, Dean Geyer and, my favourite Aussie actor ever, Rebel Wilson, are incredibly proud and thankful of their Aussie beginnings. You often see them nostalgic and joking about their Aussie beginnings. Just look at Rebel Wilson’s recent interview on Ellen.

Melissa George is talking as if all Aussie interviewers do is discuss her time on Home and Away at the expense of the rest of her career. It was merely used as a point of comparison – highlighting her Aussie roots and comparing it to where she is now. Of course they’re going to mention it – we’re proud of our Aussie stars! Is that something to be ashamed of?

However, despite the interview, what annoyed mehe most about her ungrateful attitude was the aftermath of the interview. Talking about how we, as a collective nation; the same nation which have her the start for her career, need to be quiet. How she’d rather be walking her French dogs in New York. That comment was an incredibly rude and disgusting thing to say, especially to a country who, generally speaking, was just proud.

    Are. You. Kidding. Me?

There was less than 10 seconds of H&A footage in comparison to Greys, the Slap and everything else. They didn’t even mention it any further after the clip was over and focused on what she is doing now/has done recently.

She should be lucky H&A gave her a shot because I’m sure there are a million other people that would have killed for that role way back when.

It’s where she started and people are going to use that as a reference point. Deal with it.

Agree. We all have a highlights reel & H&A is part of hers. I still have people bringing up forgettable exboyfriends or unfinished uni degrees etc – things that do tinge my credibility for who I am now, but that is my history and a history that others have of me to help us connect. And like the Morning Show interview it is usually such a small insignificant part of the conversation that I move on. Benefit of the doubt I think something deeper is bothering her & the Australian press is what is taking her displaced anger. I thought she was great in The Slap too.

Would Ian Thorpe be annoyed if a swim meet he won in his hometown aged 13 was all people mentioned and not his amazing achievements since then? Bet he would.

Would Darren Hayes be upset if the only achievement listed in interviews was a community radio #1 on a listener poll for Savage Garden? Yep, think so.

Would Kylie Minogue think it strange if she was only referenced as Danni Minogue’s older sister who sang “Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves” on Young Talent Time many years ago? Yep, reckon she’d be gobsmacked.

Melissa is not saying she’s not proud of her time on Home & Away – she is simply saying that there is so much more to her than her role as Angel. She has gone on to work with some amazing people, and roles in major shows. There’s recurring roles in “Friends”, “Alias”, “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Lie To Me” along with guest spots in “Charmed”, “Monk”, “Murder Call”, a David Lynch film (“Mullholland Drive”) and outstanding performances in “Two Twisted” and “The Slap”. Seriously, we need to give credit where credit is due … and I think that Melissa’s CV is pretty darn impressive and we should be proud of her achievements.

Oh, and top of her acting she is a successful business woman which has turned over millions within months.

The thing that saddens me the most is now Twitter and the internet at large is now turning Melissa into a monster. This could not be further from the truth. She is a highly intelligent, caring, sophisticated and talented human being who has a big heart.

Melissa, take this BS with a grain of salt and keep doing what you are doing. There’s lots of Aussie’s who beam with pride everytime they hear about the next big role you’ve scored … I am one of them. I am proud to call you a fellow Aussie.

I think all Aussies are asking for here is a little humility……the kind we have come to see from the likes of Hugh Jackman and Toni Collete….much bigger stars than Melissa George I might add. It is an overreaction to say that people are being “rude” by mentoning a past. It is not like they were referencing a sex tape or a past indescretion for goodnesss sake!Okay so it might be tiresome to revisit a time in your career you are not truly proud of, but your roots are your roots and at no time was the show setting a tone of “you should be embarrassed about….” they were merely cataloguing her career for those who have no clue who she is..clearly her fame does not yet match her ego.

I would be stoked and flattered if my dry cleaner from 13 years ago remembered me! And while my life has also also changed in 1000 ways- career, travel, my own family, living in a different country – well, I expect the dry cleaner has probably had some cool stuff happen too. I wouldn’t expect him to know about my life, or care. I would just be happy to have a smiling face from the town I lived in remember I was once a part of the fabric of life there- and the implication that even after 13 years away, maybe in some small way I still am.

I must admit, I’m struggling to understand your motivation here.

“It felt dishonest to the new life not to acknowledge how much it had changed from the old one. It wasn’t just that I felt I wanted to tell him, I needed to tell him.”

To me this reads as though you were seeking some validation about how you have evolved as a person and your achievements – via your drycleaner.

I just can’t relate to ever feeling the need to do this. With my husband, family, close friends – yes. Drycleaner? No. But hey we’re all different I guess.

Secondly, she came over as arrogant as she sounded during her interviews in Australia. We all get reminded of past events, many of them we’d like to forget. Gatherings with family are often the worst. Get over it. And to expats who come home and think that everybody here in cities of churches and seriel killers or anywhere else, should be up to date on where they’ve been, the cities you’ve visited and had coffees in, believe it or not people here have gotten on with their life too and you’re not the centre of it. Yes they will remember you how you were when they saw you last, be grateful that they remember you at all. I’ll just point out that I was an expat for close to a decade and came back home to adelaide. Yes, I’ve done some amazing things and I was lucky enough that many people were interested in them but many of them had moved on and had major life changes too. This is why going on about your French bulldog, Paris coffee, and dry cleaners not realising where you’ve been is condescending.

Dont care if she is a diva or not. She took time out from an extremely busy filming schedule to come back to Australia, even thou she is now a naturalised US citizen, to help a great charity that supports Aussie kids with cancer. I think that says much more about her than anything else.

Call me cynical but its called cross promotion. She didnt make a trip back for McHappy Day – she’s here to work on a film and and to promote The Hunted.
This alone would be unlikely to have warranted interview time on commercial channels to promote a show thats being aired on SBS, but add the charity element of mchappy day in there and everyones a winner. Well, unless you mention H&A that is….. flamin galahs!
Yes its great that she is supporting McHappy Day – kudos to her for that… but a couple of hours behind a maccas counter equating to nationwide publicity/interviews – small price too pay.

I love Melissa George’s work, but am not a fan of this attitude.

I think we’re all really proud of her work and achievements, and that’s the message I got from the footage presented on The Morning Show. The H&A stuff was just showing where she started. Take any biography of a big name star – it all has a beginning, and no one begins at the top.

Holy moly, this is hilarious! Girl needs to get a grip on reality. This has nothing to do with ‘tall poppy syndrome’ and everything to do with delusions of grandeur.

Dear Melissa George, Get a better publicist and stop whining. Add this to your moan about people not knowing about your invention a couple of weeks ago and you just start to sound like a pretty pathetic person who requires recognition from people who YOU say don’t matter.

I would imagine that Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Guy Pearce have had their share of Neighbours questions, along with Simon Baker facing e street questions. I haven’t heard of any of them throwing a hissy. Surely if you were that worried you would get your PR person to handle that before an interview etc.
Don’t see this as tall poppy syndrome, not sure what her problem is.

Add Dannii Minogue, Heath Ledger, Isla Fisher, Hugh Jackman, Cate Blanchett et al to the list of ‘former Aussie tv/soap/mini-series stars’ Hell, even Russell Crowe did Neighbours.

Yet Melissa was more than happy to discuss her role in Home & Away on The Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday night on the ABC. No tantrums or condemnation.

She hasn’t been consistent on this subject.

I don’t think this is a case of tall poppy syndrome, Melissa; rather your seeming lack of ability to be humble and have a sense of humour about yourself, which Australians so embrace. I mean: “I’d rather be having a croissant and an espresso in Paris or walking my French bulldog in New York City.” Really? This sounds beyond pretentious to a satircal degree.

Sooooo I watched the video and did I blink and miss the big deal? It went for about 5 seconds and then showed all her US work which was impressive. Larry and Kylie gushed over her recent work and McDonalds, what was the issue?

    Geesh Melissa, chillax love!

Oh Melissa …there’s something so attractive about someone who can laugh at oneself, and not take themselves too seriously. Also, maybe you need to stop making it your mission to make sure everyone in Australia knows who you are and what you’ve been doing in the last few years. Your fan base will know, I’m sure you and your family know, can’t you be happy with that? Geez

It’s maybe silly of me to comment, maybe I should keep my mouth shut, but this whole news story has me a bit fired up! I have read many articles on the incidents, and all of the comments on many different forums and my urge to comment hasn’t departed. I’m an actress, I do not have international fame and fortune, but do have a level of acknowledgement from some people. I read one comment here about MG ignoring a 6 year old girl, this breaks my heart. Children look up to their parents, teachers and (whether the parents like it or not) entertainers and the characters they portray. I sometimes get kids and teenagers approach me and I love when they call me by my character name, it means I am doing my job and they are engaging in the show! I feel utterly blessed to be Aussie, working in the Aussie industry and create Aussie product for Aussie fans. I don’t know where my career will take me, perhaps overseas, but I can only wish to one day, have a woman or man come up to me and say “I used to love you as … on that show”, I’d be proud as punch!

Ugh, yes. Hot chocolates are nicer, coffee was always nasty

I guess she figured that the peasants she was trying to show she was better than wouldn’t know any better ;)

I didn’t know who she was until today and given what I’ve seen I could take her or leave her

I am 36 just like MG. I remember reading a “Smash Hits” interview from about 20 years ago with her and Dieter Brummer. There was a question that they asked them that for some reason I’ve always remembered it.
“What are your favourite pizza toppings?”
      DB- Ham and pineapple
MG- Sun dried tomatoes and proscuitto

I think I’ve always remembered it because she sounded so pretentious. I can tell you that not many 16 year olds even knew what a sun dried tomato or proscuitto was in 1992, let alone would name them as their favourite pizza toppings. No surprises that she would rather be having a croissant and espresso in Paris now.

The majority of the world does not care about Home and Away.

It reminds me of a bunch of high schoolers who can’t move on. (ducks head and hopes you understand this is tough love and sometimes you just need an outsiders view on things.)

Instead of bashing Australia as a whole what she should have said was… “you people heard of the Internet? Next time use it… God, I can’t wait for my next interview with The Project… At least they have a research assistants and viewers.. And brains”

Ummmmmm…. what part of the feature did the researchers muck up Kfergo??? It was a ch. 7 show- AS IF the HW reference wouldn’t be made? This is what Melissa George is most famous for in this country. Maybe not elsewhere in the world, but the interview was for an Australian show. Not ‘high-schoolers that can’t move on’ but a sadly conceited woman, with no SOH. Even the hosts fawning over her was not enough for the ego.The only person this is a shame for is her.

I have to assume that the morning show just didn’t do enough research about Melissa George which would explain why they can read a bullet point regarding her most recent accomplishments but still throw up her old high school picture (her home and away footage)…
It’s very uncomfortable being caught in the middle of an argument between the high school friend whose stuck in a time warp and the person who has moved on….

I think it comes down to this- there is nothing more unattractive than a person who takes themselves this seriously. It’s quite sad and pathetic. Always a shame when someone reveals themselves to be so lacking in humour and substance.

Never watched Home & Away in my life but I was a teen when she was on there so i knew who she was from magazines. Her “career” in the US has been nothing special. Her Alias character Lauren appears frequently on “Most Hated Characters of all Time” lists in the US (see TWOP for just one). She was fired from Grey’s because again, everyone despised her insipid character. In Treatment = beyond dull. Friends = small forgettable part. Never saw The Slap because the subject matter really didn’t interest me, but from what i gather it was her best work. And where was that made? Oh that’s right, in Australia. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you sweetie. And get over yourself. Its not about not liking “Tall Poppies”, its about not liking an arrogant, delusional princess.

Slightly disappointed that she hates that part of her life so much. I loved the character of Angel growing up. She was awesome. I loved how she dressed, her don’t give a s*%t attitude. Probably the best on the show ever. She was great in The Slap too but she will forever be Angel to me.
