It’s here! The sixth and final episode of Mamamia Live on Sky News. We’re taking a small break before coming back with a new show and new format. Our final episode was a cracker with columnist and author Sam de Brito, former Democrats leader Natasha Stott Despoja and our very own Mamamia News Editor Rick Morton taking to the panel.

You can check it out below.

    Hey guys,
I’m a leftie but I had trouble watching this episode. The four of you appear largely of the same political persuasion – there’s no debate! I’m afraid I got half way through the YouTube clip then switched it off. A bit more of a mixed panel would help hold my interest.

Hey Mia :) This is the first time I’ve watched Mamamia Live and overall, I really like it!

The only thing I would say as a bit of constructive criticism is that it seems to come across a little like an oral presentation at school or uni. So if that’s what this was, I’d give it an A+ (or a 7?)! But for me, it just feels a little too planned, I think.

You have a lot of great stuff to say, and I’d rather see you saying if from the heart and really expressing it, rather than reading it from autocue/trying to recite etc. :)

My favourite bits were when you were talking with the others, because you seemed so much more comfortable and you expressed yourself with much more conviction and self-assurance.

But like I said, overall I was impressed!

Loved this episode the most – panelists, subject matter and the ease with which it flowed. Any chance we’ll ever see the show bi-weekly, topping and tailing the week/weekend (maybe Mon & Thurs…?) With so many subjects covered in such a short time-frame, I definitely would have liked to have heard more on most of the subjects (I know they’re just bites but some topics are ripe for fleshing out more)
    May I just say:
    - Rick, you ARE a tv natural and I have a crush on you but you’re just not into me ;)
    - I always like Natasha Stott Despoja when she was politics and I was very disappointed that she left, in fact I had this strange sadness as I thought (being a woman of my generation) that as a pioneer of her time she’d kind of let the team down by leaving. Viewing her here, I’ve now realised how wrong I was! The most important message, which she clarified, was that she upheld her freedom of choice to do what she wanted to do regardless of gender, regardless of age, regardless of opinion.
    - Mia, your haircut IS STUNNING!!! Looks lovely, fresh and healthy.
    - confessional… I’ve had a secret crush on Sam de Brito for a looooong time – it’s his writing as it’s a Pandora’s box of subjects I already debate with many a friend, and he often (weeks/months later) reinforces a lot of my musings, life-choices, conundrums. But now that I’ve seen him on your show (and gee I feel so hypocritically sexist right about now) I really think he’s serious eye-candy (so much more than his teeny blog pic) with his kind bearish manner and those dark, dark eyes! More on your show and in my living room please!

i got an email today from gwyneth (well, goop) and there is a wonderful comment from Cynthia Bourgeault a christian leader, about homosexuality in the bible. it’s so beautifully articulated. If christian priests can step away from behind the bible and God’s supposed ‘hatred’ of homosexuality, why can’t governments?
