There is hope: Baby boy rescued from earthquake rubble in Nepal.

Finally. Hope.

After twenty two hours buried beneath earthquake rubble, Kathmandu Today has reported that a four month old baby has been rescued.

Images from the local paper show the boy, Sonit Awal, buried beneath bricks and rubbish caused from a 7.8 magnitude earthquake which rocked Nepal on Saturday. His father had heard his baby crying beneath the rubble, but was forced to wait through night for the rescue crews to arrive to save his son.

The baby has been cleared of any injuries after being checked at Bhaktapur hospital.

More than 5,200 people have been declared dead since the catastrophic earthquake, with tens and thousands left homeless.
