Despite the family’s approval, the judge said he could not allow the woman to use the sperm given there was no marriage and no de facto relationship.

5. From today, Australian teenage boys will start to receive cervical cancer vaccine Gardisil. Boys aged 12-13 will be given the vaccine at schools. Gardisial prevents 90 per cent of cervical cancer cases. Although boys can’t get cervical cancer, they can be carriers of HPV, which is the virus that causes it.
