As a young whippersnapper with a younger sister, I guess I was aware of Barbie dolls, tea sets and other accoutrements of a 60s girl's playtime. But I'm pretty sure us boys never heard about a 'growing up' Skipper doll. The psychological damage alone would have been profound, with repercussions to the present day.
'But, darling I'm twisting your arm all the way 'round and nothing is happening!'
When I was about 8 I had a growing up Skipper (Barbie's little sister)doll - if you turned her arm one full rotation, she became taller and her boobs got bigger - noone else seems to remember this doll! But it's probably why I ended up getting a boob job - which, by the way I have since reduced !
