Newsreader Natasha Exelby made headlines earlier this week for a daydreaming gaffe that occurred while she was presenting for ABC News 24.
Unaware she was back on air after a pre-recorded news package ended, Exelby was fiddling, almost mesmerised, with her pen.
The moment she realised, her reaction was comical; she sat up straight and her mouth formed a perfect ‘O’.
Now — just hours after the ABC confirmed it would not be demoting the journalist over the gaffe — Sydney radio station KIIS 1065 has poached Exelby's talent for a guest role.
"Australian Radio Network (ARN) is thrilled to welcome seasoned journalist Natasha Exelby to Sydney’s KIIS 1065 as guest breakfast newsreader," a statement released by the network today read.
"Natasha will read breakfast news on KIIS 1065 next week, while The Kyle & Jackie O Show is on survey break."

Ok the whole premise of this article is exaggerated. She is a freelance journalist and you are implying that she has been poached by another media company as a "result" of ABC's response to her gaffe.
